Dark golden, clear beer, well-carbonated to small, yellow head. Nose of alcohol, sherry, higher alcohols, and despite all this, delicate. Sherry again in the taste, sweet, but not too sweet; cookies and fine grains. Bit of alcoholwarming, not really dry; medium bodied. Nice, if not really Belgian, this is quite good, IMO. According to the brewery, this ought to be a Belgian Pale strong ale.

Not too bad... Clean and crisp. Slight spicy aftertaste. Pours a very nice gold color in the glass. Overall, nice... Thanks to BarZigKin for the hook up as per usual...

0,5l can at Hotel room in Sigiriya, Sri Lanka. BB 04/2017. 8.8% ABV. Amber clear color, small pink head. smells nutty, marzipan, ripe fruits, tobacco, caramel. actually quite decent smell. Full Body, Licht carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes nutty, marzipan, ripe fruits, molasses, honey, light caramel, some boozy notes. finishes lightly sweet with notes of booze and nutty notes. okish, but a bit on the boozy side.

Ooooh, I’m the tenth rater, and thus the ’Giver Of Percentile Status’! This is an interesting position for me to be in, as I didn’t find this beer to be nearly as aweful as the other raters did. Maybe its because I had it in Singapore, from a bottle, with a best before date of 06.2006 (6 months from now). Anyway, this poured a deep amber with a thick head generating excellent lace and showing long retention (not a bad start-- good marks for appearance, considering its a lager). Very malty aroma, with a noticable fruity hop character. Chewy malt palate, heavy mouthfeel, with a sweet ripe-banana note on the finish. The alcohol is apparent and very warming, but not harsh or overpowering. Still, after finishing a 600ml bottle, I was ready for a sleep by the pool! Anyway, I am definitely the anomaly amongst the general attitude towards this beer, but I have to remain honest and say that this was a decent example of a strong lager.

Canned. A golden beer with a medium beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of alcohol, leading to a dry and very alcoholic finish.

Dark yellow and clear. Has a white head, mostly lasting. Malty aroma, faint parfume. Nice flavor, has a pleasent hoppy finish, faint metallic. Oily texture, soft carbonation
