Douberd's rating

Douberd (5252) - Arnhem, - NOV 18, 2012
Poured from a bottle of 330 ml. It poured a light golden-yellow colour, with a whoopy 3 finger head that eventually disappeared, leaving though enough behind to cover the beer’s surface. Strong aroma of hops. Taste was bitter but was leaving a sweetness behind. Medium thickness in body, lightly carbonated and you surely can’t feel the 6.9% ABV, something that makes it very drinkable. I got a 6-pack of bottles in a German supermarket, and honestly if I knew it would be that nice I would have taken more.

UPDATED: DEC 21, 2016 Bottle. Clear golden colour with a medium white head, nose is malty and grassy with notes of fresh green apples, taste is malty, floral and quite sweet, reminds of mead and syrup, almost no bitterness in the finish.

klukas (207) - Rijeka, CROATIA - JUL 13, 2016
Enjoyed: Poured from a bottle into a goblet. Appearance: Clear golden colour, with small short-lived foam. Aroma: Caramel, alcohol. Palate: Medium body with gentle carbonation. Taste: Sweet, no bitterness. Reminds of wine. Overall impression: Solid beer for enjoyment; not a thirst-fighter.

Three labels on the bottle but without information about the malts, hops and drinktemperature. A clear golden beer with a short white head, no smell, medium body, texture is thin, light honey taste, light bitter and dry finish which is very short, (I 0.33l bottle with batch L035/07:50 and best-before 29.01.17)

Bottle: Golden color, white head. Aroma is malty, grainy, some grassy hops. Flavor is malty, honey, grassy, light herbal hops. Some unpleasant notes and unbalanced malt/hop notes.

Pours a clear golden color, topped with a medium sized frothy head, white and not that lasting. Grassy aroma, some flowery presence and a bit malty back. A bit of that stale presence in the aroma as well. Sweet and malty, some presence of mild spices and a tad boozy in the finish. Not the best, but had a few much worse recently.

Bottle. Golden body with white head. Aroma is malty with some biscuits. Taste is nearly the same. Aftertaste is boring.

33cl swingtop bottle from Munich Airport, thanks Fede. It pours a clean orange color with a small white head. Aroma is sweet malty with caramel bread and biscuit. Taste is also quite sweet and malty with more notes of bread biscuit and light starch. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, ok

0,33 l bottle, the brewery own long neck swing top bottle version. Pours out clear golden, small one finger white head. Really not a lot on the nose. Taste starts more apple fuity than malt, but fresh. Some vanilla. Alcoholic parts. Sorry, but had it way better in my memories 20 years ago.

Kraut beer night . Beer 3 . In a Germanic glass. The German chancellor is not the boss of ME . High boost’ish BOck. This shit pours gold with a flaky white head that dies fast like the general relevance of the stupid ass EU... Nose is powerfully rich malts , toffee , syrupy almonds , grassy hops , raw booze . A beefy malty body is punchy .. Dry finish . Not fucken bad !

Vielen Dank an Erzengel für dieses Bier! Klare goldene Farbe, sehr geringe weiße Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, etwas Marzipan. Geschmack scharf malzig, getreidig, leicht florale Noten, gering hopfig.
