(22 oz bottle via trade with OhioDad, thanks Scott!) A nice helles but expecting a little more I guess...Pours a clear gold-yellow with a couple inches or so of off-white head. Aroma is weak but for some mild fruit hops and very light honey, a hint of sour. Mouthfeel smooth, fairly full. Some nice rings and webs of lace. Flavor is mildly malty - caramel, maybe a little honey along with a bit of sour lemon. Well this is pretty good but fairly tame. Really no breadiness or anything stand-out flavor-wise.

Big white head, dark golden color, with a bread/hop aroma. Crisp, sweet, maple malt flavor with moderate hop bitterness. Good stuff. hotstuff (5139) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - OCT 3, 2006
Draft at Beer Sellar in Newport, KY. Small white head that was mostly lasting, sparse lacing, and a pale yellow hue. Nose was sweet malty, hoppy, grassy, floral, citrus, spicy, and fruity. Flavor was sweet, malty, hoppy, citrus, spicy, fruity, and lightly bitter. Smooth mouthfeel. A very nice crisp and refreshing brew on a beautiful Saturday afternoon along the Ohio River. jimmack (1223) - Nutley, New Jersey, USA - OCT 3, 2006
22oz. bomber thanks to DB at his gathering. Clear, bright golden color with a small whie head that left nice lacing. Lightly sweet, biscuity malt aroma
with a touch of herbal hops. Flavor was again lightly sweet as the bready malts hit you first, along with some wet straw, followed by some herbal/floral hops. Really crisp and refreshing flavor. IMtheOptimator (1167) - Brookfield, Connecticut, USA - SEP 24, 2006
Bottle shared at Oktoberfest at Dickinsonbeer’s. Poured a clear golden with a white head. Clean grassy hops aroma. TAste is clean with some toffee and grassy noble hops. Crisp and refreshing. Nice.

Pours a clear, rich golden body with a good, white head. Moderately malty (straw and slight grassy hops) in the aroma. The flavor is a little sweet, but it’s light and the beer was gone before I realized I had drunk much of it. Dogbrick (12912) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - SEP 16, 2006
Sample at Brew Kettle: Amber-gold color with a minimal off-white head that manages to last awhile. Thing ring of lacing around the top of the glass. Floral hops, malt and a bit of spice in the nose. Light, clean body with floral hops, earthy malt and fruity flavors. Some underlying sweetness as well. The finish is crisp and lightly bitter. One of the better Dortmunder beers I have had in awhile. SpringsLicker (3612) - Tennessee, USA - SEP 3, 2006
Brilliantly clear deep gold color that displays a tall white head.
Malty aroma with just a touch of flowery light hops.
Tha flavor is well balanced, a bit of sweetness, but some nice bitterness too.
Smooth, easy drinking. A well done Dortmunder. jsquire (4420) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - AUG 26, 2006
From the 22 oz. bottle. This is an attractive golden beer with a quickly disappating rocky white head. Citrus hop nose. Strong lemon/lime citrus flavors over a buscuity breadiness. Very sweet in the initail taste, almost like table sugar. There is a long bitter tail to the finish, but I also got something metallic. Tastey, and good with a sandwich. apoptosis (1317) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 24, 2006
Clear, golden yellow body with lots of bubbles. Very foamy around the sides of the glass. Malty, herbal and grassy aroma. Very smooth finish - the carbonation is not as high as I expected. Crisp and refreshing, slightly honeyed finish. Decent, easy to drink beer.
