Draft at Tina’s in Cincy. Poured clear dark amber with an average creamy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Moderate cereal malt and tart citrus aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Well balanced medium sweet flavor with a light bitter finish of moderate duration. Interesting beer that I have recommended to two freinds to locate and try. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - SEP 16, 2007

Sample at Brew Kettle: Amber-gold color with a minimal off-white head that manages to last awhile. Thing ring of lacing around the top of the glass. Floral hops, malt and a bit of spice in the nose. Light, clean body with floral hops, earthy malt and fruity flavors. Some underlying sweetness as well. The finish is crisp and lightly bitter. One of the better Dortmunder beers I have had in awhile. hopdog (12542) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 12, 2008

Tap. Semi-hazy orange pour with a foamy white head. Aroma and taste of malt and biscuits. Just okay - nothing great. alexsdad06 (10425) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 1, 2010
22 oz. bottle (notes). Pours a clear golden color with a larger off white head. The aroma is mildly sweet biscuity malt with a hint of lemon citrus and mild hop spiciness. The flavor is more biscuity malt with a touch of honey sweetness. Toward the finish the lemon citrus gets a touch sour which is strange. Slight hints of toasted bread come out. Light-medium bodied with a slightly dry finish.

Bottle (650ml) shared at ’Biegaman’s Summer Gathering’ -- my bottle courtesy of lewis13. pours a clear yellow-gold with an average size diminishing white head. Simple aroma of mostly caramel malt along with some breadyness, llight grassy hops and faint fruit. Flavour’s a little sweet with caramel malt, fruit and some light hops. Medium bodied. A pretty good version of the style, I enjoyed it.
