Pours a rootbeer brown color with a tan head that lasts with substantial lacing. Aroma of nuts and caramel with the same taste. Incredibly smooth for a brown ale. Definitely will drink this one again. Teddy2Fist (1) - - SEP 19, 2014 does not count

Dark brown, copper color. Tangy malt aroma that is unappealing. Light bitter and malt flavors with little hazelnut taste. Lingering metallic taste on the palate. maltman53 (472) - Corrales, New Mexico, USA - NOV 6, 2013
Pours Ceylon tea color, nice head and lace, aroma subdued, palate is medium-bodied and medium-malt density, finish just okay - certainly drinkable, but unremarkable. By the way, didn’t pick up the hazelnut at all.

Bottle. Pours a clear darker brown color with very little head on it. Nose is quite malt forward, being dominated by some caramel tones, but a little toasting and just a slight bit of nuttiness on the back end. Taste is a little sweet, but has some nice toasting to it. Very drinkable beer. DialSquare (5187) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 2, 2013
