This is surprisingly good. Has a definite hazelnut flavor but it isn’t too strong. The best of these barrel trolley beers. Drake (14332) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 17, 2012
12 ounce bottle from Harris Teeter Crozet. Pours a clear brown color with a frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of nutty notes , brown malts and a faint herbalness. The taste is caramel malts and mild nutty and herbal notes. Medium bodied. Solid beer. maxwelldeux (4433) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - JUL 24, 2013
Bottle. Pours a clear darker brown color with very little head on it. Nose is quite malt forward, being dominated by some caramel tones, but a little toasting and just a slight bit of nuttiness on the back end. Taste is a little sweet, but has some nice toasting to it. Very drinkable beer. Nekronos (4213) - Xalapa, MEXICO - FEB 10, 2015
Very nice but watery in a specific way. Quite drinkable and a little bit ot thick shape. NCIe aroma and looks. fidemaster (336) - Naperville, Illinois, USA - SEP 13, 2012
The best of the bunch by far. Not the best Nut Brown I have ever had but just a wonderful beer. You get a pleasant inviting aroma. The taste is a combination of caramel, chocolate and hazelnut. The malt keeps its from being too sweet, and adds a robust flavor to this beer. It finishes very clean. I would be happy to try this again.

Pours a dark brown w/ a tiny white head that leaves a little bit of lacing. The aroma is dominated by the hazelnut. The taste is nutty & smooth throughout. It’s nicely balanced & has a light creamy mouthfeel. A very solid beer that’s everything you would expect from a brown. Quite nice! bth122 (1704) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 12, 2014
Bottle. Nice clear brown color. Full head. Hazelnut and caramel aroma. Medium light sweetness. Light bitter.

Pours a rootbeer brown color with a tan head that lasts with substantial lacing. Aroma of nuts and caramel with the same taste. Incredibly smooth for a brown ale. Definitely will drink this one again. PugUglyBrewer (841) - - AUG 21, 2017
A bit of a surprise considering the quality of what this company has to offer for craft beer. Dull, murky brown color with a soapy head of light tan foam. Smooth and pleasant enough nutty and caramel sweet maltiness.
