2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
From a bottle poured a straw color with a fair amount of head. Light sweet malty flavor with a quick finish.
Bottle from a local Grocery Outlet venue. Pours like a pale lager - gold and white. Lemon aroma. Near med body. I’m thinking there might be actual zest in here. It is kind of sickly tart with pale malt. Not liking the finish a’tall a’tall. marcus (10493) - Sacramento, California, USA - JUN 24, 2014
Pours clear blonde with a thick white head and a grassy aroma. There is a slightly sweet pale malt flavor with some sweet lemon. I guess I don’t like shandys. Westmeister (2129) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JAN 18, 2014
Clear pale yellow, small white head. Smell is lemon candy, crisp pale malt, honey. Taste is lemon sugary candy, honey, with a super sweet finish. drowland (8895) - Georgia, USA - NOV 15, 2013
10/18/13. 12oz bottle from a random ABC in Tallahassee, I think. Skunked? I think somehow they managed to get this bad boy light struck. Gross lemon flavor on top of it. Awful. It’s like a skunked Heineken got mixed with a bottle of window cleaner. Disgusting. fluffy (2472) - St Petersburg, Florida, USA - SEP 15, 2013
A fake lemony aroma and flavor, a bit like lemonheads and a drop of pine sol. Gah.

Taking this one back-to-back with Mike’s Shandy, we’ll see who wins. Light lemon zest, sweetish aroma, but the beer malt is obvious and not dominated by the lemon. Good label, although all the Barrel Trolley labels look the same and it’s hard to know what you’ve had and what you haven’t. Clear, light yellow with a little brownish twinge. Thin, clingy head. Sweetish, but not candied like Mike’s was. Rather bland, some cereal malt, no hops to speak of. Medium light body, some unpleasant lemon pith notes in the finish. Barrel Trolley edges Mike’s Shandy, mainly because it tastes more like beer. Average beer, but beer. BartHawk (1) - Florida, USA - JUL 24, 2013 does not count
One of the best summertime beers I’ve ever had! Great flavor profile and a nice malt buzz/. PorterPounder (8186) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUL 23, 2013
Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - 12 oz bottle. Pours a sparkling medium golden with a thickish white head, nice bubble action and a fair amount of lacing - looks very refreshing. Aroma is slightly medicinal and artificial lemony. Flavor has some faint lemony accents, more candy-lemon flavored than actual lemon fruit flavor, a hint of metal and some band-aids. Mouthfeel has a tad bit of harshness to it. Looks great - but it is downhill after that. rickyleepotts (100) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAY 29, 2013
I don’t like much from this brewery, but man... this is GOOD! It has a nice summer seasonal flavor, and makes me want to try an actual authentic shandy. This is the best beer I have had from this brewing company and I plan on buying 6 more just to keep in the fridge. Now... trying to find the info on this beer. INSANE! I even had to add this to RateBeer. My first one.
