Love me some scotch beer and this delivers. Practically loss like a glenlivet with a bare head. And leaves a finish not dissimilar. Boom. voyageurmike (446) - Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 31, 2015
More like a slightly sweeter Troegenator (doppelbock) than a scotch ale, I would say. Does have a mild bitter edge to the malt flavor, and a pleasant enough finish. tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 31, 2014
Draft at the brewpub. Pours a clean amber with thin white head and some spots of lace. Nose of caramel, roasted malt, and peat. Medium body. A little too much smokey character for my taste. Sweet and malty. callmemickey (4549) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 9, 2013
UPDATED: JAN 31, 2014 Clear copper colored body, medium to thin off-white head, sparse lacing. Caramel, toasted and roasted malts, smoke revs up in the flavor profile. Medium bodied, appropriate carbonation, a touch of sweetness. A clean, solid wee heavy.
