On nitro at brewpub. The appearance is deep brown, red hue, off white head. The aroma is burnt caramel. The flavor is the same. Thin in body, but it is on nitro. Finish is sweet, pine. Nice representation of the style. bob_w (373) - new york, New York, USA - AUG 10, 2013
mildly roasty brown malt notes, some hops and some esters. dark cola/root beer color, with an off white head that falls quickly. a tangy malty flavor up front, giving way to some hop flavor and then bitterness. though the flavor profile is somewhat acidic/tangy, it’s still fairly smooth and balanced. solid medium body. j12601 (10898) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JUL 31, 2013
On tap at Proletariat. Pours a clear amber brown with a thin white head. Soft toast, brown sugar. Medium bodied, soft toffee. Rather empty, toast and not much else. Soft bitterness. Inoffensive but not memorable.

Tap at Barcade. The nose is softly coffeeish with a little bit of herbal toasted malt. A touch of soft pepper ad some moderately herbal hoppiness. Decently toasty and a little bit roasted as well. Nice quaffable brew.

Finally a mild ale rating. Pours brown with almost no head and maybe light malt and toast on nose. Tastes of malt, very light floral hops, toast, and maybe vegetable. Very subdued and a touch soapy. Reminds me of something out of a British pub but not many other warm fuzzy feelings
