Pour out of 22 oz bottle, thanks James! Pour has thin to no head, hazy dark red pour. Aroma brings dark caramel, toffee, lots of orange, grapefruit, touch of oxidation but not bad, hints of grass and spice. Taste is a mix of sweet orange marmalade, caramel, toffee, lots of caramelized sugars, hints of spice, slight oxidation, finishing fairly sweet. HeadyDE (885) - Delaware, USA - MAY 1, 2013
Bottle pour..like the waxed cap and bottle design..1st bottle offering from these guys for me..excited to try..dark reddish crimson color..minimal head tiny carbonation as expected..aroma is solid with notes of strawberry, earthiness, honey, scented flowers..palate is one of the more unique sampled in a while..pretty smooth with an initial hit of sweet cough medicine that improves in the middle with a lemon tangerine profile..hides the abv well and comes off as a hybrid..could pass an imperial red..dipa or even some barleywine tendencies..probably going to see how the 2nd bottle ages as they suggest this is a candidate for cellaring on website..Facebook..good..worth seeking out...interesting beer.. tgncc (3144) - Bellmore, New York, USA - APR 30, 2013
From ZDK’s tasting. The aroma is sweet, boozy, light pine hops, citrus hops. The appearance is red/brown, off-white head. The flavor is sweet, caramel, citrus. The finish is sweet, sticky, citrus. A little too big, sweet and sticky, but enjoyable. jbeatty (1266) - New York, USA - APR 28, 2013
Bottle, 04/28/2013. Pours dark amber brown, thin off-white head, dies to a nice haze on the surface, fine ring of lacing around the glass. Aroma is resinous orange citrus hops, brown sugar, big caramel malts, a bit spicy, and subtle dark bread notes. Taste is similar, fruity orange caramel, grapefruit, bitter finish. Thick sticky palate, yet relatively smooth mouthfeel and carbonation. More like a big imperial red ale or hoppy American strong. Not especially complex beyond the hoppy maltiness, but pretty tasty. j12601 (13298) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - APR 21, 2013
Bottle at a tasting at Matt’s place. Pours a lightly hazed orange amber with a thin white to beige head. Big spicy hops on the nose, cool and herbal. Long sweet caramel with some earthy hops. Very nice.

750ml February 2013 bottle shared by Tom at Zach & Matt’s tasting. Pours amber gold with foamy white head. Aroma has slight citrus notes. Taste is slightly sticky, slightly boozy, slightly malty and almost like a barelywine. Finish is pretty nice.
