Hazy deep amber beer!! Good cream colour head. Palate is smooth and a little soft, mild fine carbonation. Malty! Very malty! Little oxidised caramel and dark toffee. Mild marmalade and pine. Smooth malty finish. That oxidised tasting caramel lingers on. This is what now? Imperial Pils? India Pale Lager? Not very pale is it? An okay malt bomb.
65cl alu-bottle. Pours hazy dark orange golden with a medium good lasting beige head. Aroma of hops, peach, citrus, toasted malt. Taste is very malty, grain, peach, fruity hops, caramel, slightly alcohol in the aftertaste. Theydon_Bois (19545) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JUN 8, 2013
Tap at Base Camp, PDX, 22/05/13.
Clear dark amber with a thin off white head that dissipates edgeward leaving a film atop the glass.
Nose is caramel malt forward, sugars, light fruit notes, grain.
Taste comprises dark malt, light fart, straw, hint of booze, fruits, touch woody/nutty.
Medium bodied with fine carbonation.
Drinkable fayre but didn’t do enough to inspire me to want seek this one out again. Oakes (17685) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 29, 2014
Amber with a little haze, spicy, pretty heavily so, and a dash of toasty, biscuity malt, with a dash of acidity. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - JUL 2, 2015
On tap @ Base Camp. Much darker than expected. Sort of an amber color. Khaki foam. Good enough pineapple hop notes and a little peach. Somewhat citrusy, which is nice. Hints of watermelon gummy candy. The flavor is pretty heavy on grapefruit and watermelon gummies. A nice citric note to it. Some caramel malt, peach, and maybe pine to add just a faint bitterness. Good but sweet.

Bottle-like can (I think?) @ weekly tasting shared with Joes. Clear amber color, full sized white head that lasts for a decent while and leaves fair to good lacing. Aroma is lightly malts, lightly hops, a hint of sweetness. Taste malts, lightly hops, again a little sweetish, there is a light touch of orangepeel-bitter, a hint of oak-wood-bitter towards the finish. Medium body and carbonation. Draft - Light hop flowery notes with some caramel. Clear copper with a decent beige head. Caramel, perfume and some hop bitterness. bhensonb (15237) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 15, 2013
Can from Made in Oregon. Pours dark copper with a 3 finger creamy beige head. Complex floral/malt/wood aroma. Med + body. Flavor is woody, malty, floral and it comes across very oak astringent. Sets up a nice hop burn. Sort of a mellow malty decently hopped equivalent to an IPA. Nice drink indeed. DSG (14838) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - MAR 16, 2015
[2/24/15] Draught at Base Camp Brewing in Portland. Clear orange-amber. Aroma of malt and caramel, a bit of marmalade, and mild hoppiness. Sweetish malty flavor with caramel, a bit of marmalade, some piney hops and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Lubiere (13915) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 1, 2013
A copper amber ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, loads of caramel malt with apple skin, maple, and grassy hops. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with scotch notes, very nice, grassy hops, surprising.
