COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A journey through Belgian and Pacific Northwest brewing traditions, demanding step-by-step attention and care. This saison’s crisp body melds with the floral, citrusy, pepper spice of Grains of Paradise. A hint of specialty malt lends balance, while Willamette Valley-grown dry-hop additions round out this beer’s spectacularly complex aroma. Truly, this is a beer that’s worth our efforts.

(Base Camp Pilgrimage Saison) Aluminum bottle at home, 650ml, served into a big tulip, ABV 7.1%
Light gusher. Golden orange colour on the body, crystal clear, with a huge and thick white head on top, very good retention.
Aroma has malts, sugars, light oxidation, faint flower notes.
Taste is on the sweet side, with malts, flower notes, old grass, sugars, a hint of alcohol.
Medium body, good carbonation.
I can’t find any date on the bottle but it seems a bit too old to be honest. Not that bad though.

Huge white frothy rocky head. Excellent lacing. Mostly diminishing. Orange cloudy thick body. Aroma: pome fruit, light yeasty, light bread, alcohol, citrus orange, moderate malt. Initial flavor: moderate sweet light light acidic. Final flavor: moderate sweet light acidic; long duration. Palate: medium body, lively carbonation, oily/creamy texture, metallic finish. Sabor frutado, dulçor maltado, caramelizado, mais forte no início. Azedume ameixa fresca. A presença adocicada de levedura me lembrou pêssego. Deliciosa interpretação americana do estilo. 150s

Aluminum bomber. Spicy Belgian yeast aroma with notes of pepper, floral, malt and a bit of citrus. Pours cloudy golden colored with a thin white head that has some retention and decent lacing. Starts with sweet malt with a bit of floral and spicy Belgian yeast flavors. Finishes crisp and dry with a good amount of citrus and a touch of pepper at the very end. Pretty nice saison.

Poured from that cute little 22 oz can, picked up as part of the 6 pack they sell at the airport. Hazy yellow golden with a good sized white head. Nose is bubblegum, over ripe banana. Taste is a bit too sweet, kinda of thick and syrupy body. Liked the other saison they had on tap, the Saison Ambree, much better.

markextrae (4500) - Alingsås, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - JUN 8, 2016
sample, poured an orange colour with a white head. nose is grains, citrussy, sweet riped fruits, parfum hops, belgian yeast, musty taste, slight spices in the finish.

3.2
bhensonb (15838) - Woodland, California, USA - MAR 25, 2016
Can from Bine & Vine. This is based on dregs of about 1/12th the can, cause the top popped off while traveling. Aroma is sort of citrus with yeast and light malt. Arguably medium minus body - cause there’s not much - no - carbonation left worth mentioning. Flavor seems lightly spicy citrus yeast. Yet it’s not really appealing - maybe it’s the current condition. But it does not seem to be greatly appreciated by prior raters.
