Bottle @ Vlaamse Reus. Copper coloured, beige foamy head. Nose is caramel malts, grassy, creamy, light grainy. Flavour is caramel, creamy, malty, grainy. Candy sugar. Soft mouth feel. Dont get the Amarillo. Soft carbonation. Ok drinkable. JorisPPattyn (10060) - BELGIUM - MAY 21, 2011
Good cream-coloured head with some lace over deep red-copper beer. Lightly smoked - like roasted chestnuts and roast malts, faintly spiced smelling. Taste turns out to be more bitter than expected, and definitely spiced; pinch of cacaopowder. Quite slick, well-bodied, even a bit chewy. Interesting, but not really great. Strikes me as a rather Walloon-style strong ale. mcberko (18589) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 30, 2011
750mL bottle, split with manuchampions, Matts_Property and uhlan, pours a dark reddish brown with a thick off-white head - lots of sediment. Aroma of spices, pepper, sort of rye bread, and some floral notes. Flavour is sort of like a dark malt saison with Belgian spices, chocolatey-ish malts, and subtle orange [peel]. Nice melange of spices, with light molasses and light toasted bread. Very enjoyable. sayravai (4710) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 4, 2012
(Draught) Clear dark amber with a small, very lacy head. Aroma of diacetyl, caramely malt, dark bread, some sourness. Flavor is licoricey, roasted-caramely, diacetylic, slightly sweet and syrupy. Medium body, lowish CO2. Quite interesting, although not very clean. 5345

18th Oct 2012 on-tap in Daisey’s ’t Brugs Beertje: good deep amber/brown body, tan coloured head that stayed a while.
Burnt sugar and honey in both the nose and taste: so a bit sweet then! Belgian style yeast esters and flavours calmed it down a bit but other sweet notes also came and went during my tasting: namely candid fruits, brown sugar and caramel.
The alcohol was well hidden by the sweet brew; it did have a mild hop bitterness under the surface and towards the end of each sip it was easy to find. A nice easy drinking beer for 7.0% ABV. mike_77 (7029) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - FEB 7, 2013
Red brown colour. Aroma of sweet dried fruit and malts. Soft and smooth with low carbonation. Flavour has rounded malts and a light bitter, dry finish.
