Bottle, 75cl. There’s a few small floaties in this one, else it’s clear, with a dark amber body and a small but firm light beige head. The aroma has some toffee and a little bit of roasted malts, as well as both fresh and dried fruits. Mostly dried though. The flavor has a pleasant sweetness, with malts, roasted notes, dried fruits and some faint bitterness. Medium to full body, dry and pleasantly carbonated. There’s a more pronounced bitterness in the end, but still it can’t really be classified as bitter. Anyway, it’s a beer I wouldn’t mind drinking again, I like the way the flavors are integrated. 120218 MiP (15960) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - FEB 18, 2012
Bottle. Mild fruity aroma. Hazy red colour. Small stable tan head. The flavour is mildly caramelly. Low to medium bitterness. Clean enough finish. Distinct bitterness, slightly rough. Matts_Property (837) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 8, 2012
Bottle. Pours a hazy dark brown/red with a small ring of head. Aroma of various autumn spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, some yeast, bread and caramel malts. Flavour of caramel malts, toasted nuts, yeast, spices, acid, orange peel, with a perfumed aftertaste. Nice to begin with but has a really unpleasant aftertaste. Don’t usually dump beer...

(Draught @ Brugs Beertje, Brugge)
Dubbel commissioned by the Brugs Bierinstituut, with off-white, stable head and deep bronze colour. Strongly malty aroma with caramel and nuts, some pear, liquorice, toast; taste at first a dark, rounded fruitiness, vaguely sweetish, bit of a metallic touch, caramelly and nutty malts, finishing in a light toasted bitter. Not very well-balanced to my taste. Beese (3084) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 8, 2014
