Pours clear amber with a medium head. Overall lots of caramell and sweetness on the nose and not nearly as much hop as I would expect from an IPA. If its going for the sweet over the bitter it acheived it, but otherwise way too much sweetness
This is just completely terrible and undrinkable. I can’t believe it was put on the market. ndburns (190) - Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - MAY 23, 2016
355ml bottle at an Indian restaurant. Pours a clear brown amber with a small white head. Aroma is entirely malt. Flavor not dissimilar, bitter, not much else going on. Onslow (1481) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - DEC 12, 2015
Pour from a 12oz bottle. Clear medium brown brew with light tan head. Nice aroma dominated by the English hops. Taste is sweet up front - a molasses / brown sugar sweetness, not caramel; and then transitions to a nice hoppy finish. Love the fuggles hops... A nice English style IPA. puredelusion (393) - Lviv, UKRAINE - AUG 13, 2015
0,33 bottle. Pours amber color with small white, mostly diminishing head. Aroma of malt, tea, flowers. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter with decent alcoholic notes. Aftertaste is medium long and bitter. Flat carbonation. Light to medium body. hayduke (5188) - Eureka, California, USA - NOV 7, 2014
This poured amber with a small white head. Nose of malts and grassy hops. Medium body. Flavor is bland with light hops. Not much going on. Do not know how they call this an IPA.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. The label lists the abv at 6% and there is a short description of the beer as well.
Appearance: Bass IPA has a honey amber color with a slight haze and some visible carbonation. On top sits a tall frothy head. The head is light tan in color and long lasting which makes some slick lacing on the glass.
Smell: It has a very nice sweet malty character with some bready notes and notes of caramel, honey, coffee. Further off in the background I get some mild herbal and very mild citrus hops.
Taste / Palate: The flavor doesn’t quite live up to the aroma but it still brings a nice balance of hops and malt. (If you are looking for a big tasty hop bomb you won’t find it here.) There is a nice mellow bready maltiness up front and though out with mild hop bitterness coming in late in the finish. These hops add citrusy orange pith like bitterness. amber color; caramel malt and floral hop aroma; floral hops up front on a medium-bodied malt base with caramel notes Cousin_Larry (893) - - APR 13, 2014
Bass needs to decide if they want to maintain their signature bubblegum flavor or actually make an IPA. No pine or citrus taste and finish has no hops. Not sure how you can call this an IPA. Firecape (66) - - MAR 30, 2014
Recently did a blind taste test with some old favorite British iPas and new American pale ales. It was so disappointing - I remember how good my first bass tasted but now it is like drinking corona - one note, no body and no finish. Used to love this years ago but don't even think about ordering today except in a bad Irish bar as part of a Black and Tan

Poured from 12oz bottle. Slightly hop forward with a medium sized bitterness on the finish. Notes of grapefruit and pine needles lead the pack, but a nice hop blend overall.
