drdisque (877) - Illinois, USA - NOV 24, 2016
On tap at the brewpub. Pours ruddy cloudy light brown. Flavor is crisp dark malt with a touch of Belgian tartness. Light fruitiness. Clean finish. I personally thought this was a pretty good dubbel and was surprised to see the low ratings.

DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 27, 2015
Taste on tap during Michigan Summer Beer Fest. Totally hazy brown, slight red color. Thin khaki head, some bits of lace. Solid dark fruit, some raisin, bit of toastiness. Touch of chocolate. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, sort of creamy lighter carbonation. Mild slick. Moderate-plus bitter taste, moderate sweet, nice balance to the taste. Just a bit of pleasant warmth on the end. A solid, tasty, balanced dubbel.

Pours a dark brown with a thin white lacing. Aroma is lots of candi sugar, alcohol, and some dark fruits. Flavor is sweet candi sugar and dark fruits. Decent, though a bit heavy on the sugar.

Pour on tap at the brewery, dark reddish brown pour with khaki head, aroma brought notes of dark fruit, plum, some roasted malt as well as lots of toffee, caramel, some spicy yeasty notes as well. Taste is a mix of pepper, dark fruit, caramel, toffee, hints of toasted bread, finishing sweet.

An aroma of sweet dark fruit, pear, sugar, and a hint of cider-ish sourness. Appears a hazy purple, some foam, light lace. Tastes of candy sugar, pears, plums, and a hint of balancing hay bitterness. Palate is fizzy and light. Overall, great!

tap at brewery. Brown with small head. Sweet malty dubbel with light Belgian spice. There aren’t any flaws to these beers, but I find them bland.
