Beersiveknown (5284) - NORTHERN IRELAND - JUN 22, 2013
Bottle at home from ales by mail.
Pours pale burnished gold with the barest of white heads after much coaxing. Very low carbonation but full bodied from the wheat. Enticing tangerine and mango hop flavours on the nose but these disappear in the almost flat beer leaving some dry wheat spice and pithy lupulin. A wheat ale certainly, shame about the palate else it’d be tasty.

Idiosynkrasie (7516) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAY 22, 2013
500ml bottle. Filmy golden colour with no head, just a reawakening thin white layer, some lacings. Minimally citrusy aroma, cautious pale malty background. Taste is minimally sweet pale and wheat malty; flat, insipid, expressionless. Nothing wrong with this, without any unpleasant touch, but absolutely characterless, empty - vacant

TysonBeerhound (61) - Manchester, Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - MAR 4, 2013
It’s a 500ml bottle and is 5%. I’ve not come across any of their beers before, but I like the branding. It says cool in a graphics designed, funky way and the suggested food pairing hints at the audience they’re aiming at. It poured hazy golden with medium carbonation and a very small off-white head. The aroma is quite mild but with discernible citrus notes of lemon and orange with surprisingly little wheat beer character. There’s more citrus in the flavour, but grapefruit dominates the pack here and leads to a dry, fruity aftertaste. You can’t imagine this being mistaken for a Belgian or German wheat beer, but it’s very good, nonetheless. The wheat component is neatly stripped back to allow the bold citrus flavours to really shine in a refreshing (almost) pint.

berkshirejohn (6501) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 14, 2012
50cl bottle from Toscanaccio, Winchester. A rather flat looking, hazy straw colour with a ring of white head; lemony aroma; sharply bitter in the mouth with fresh leafy hops, and sour grapefruit; the grapefruit carries through to the finish joined by a light spiciness, and some lingering hops. Much more forceful than a Belgian or German Witbier.

SaintMatty (7364) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - SEP 14, 2012
500ml Bottle - Golden in colour. Lemon, gooseberries, grapefruit and soap in the aroma. Hoppy taste with notes of grapefruit, tea, pineapple and gooseberries.
