Bottle from Beers 52.
Cocoa Powder, Chocolate Syrup, Coffee to the nose, possible orange notes.
To the tongue, there is initial Chocolate, similar to Sam Smiths but not quite as Chocolate-y or Coffee-y. Coffee being the second taste and then orange peel, almost candied, very sweet. Nice beer Stuu666 (15248) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 18, 2014

Bottle from Sainsburys Team valley. Pours deep brown/black colour. Nice chocolatey aromas but the taste and palate are more roast coffee. Nicely balanced and very drinkable for a 6% Pailhead (6543) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - OCT 18, 2014
Bottle: The aroma consists of huge sweet chocolate syrup, cocoa powder, and a hint of fruit. It pours a dark brown with an orange glow around the edges of the glass when held to the light. It has a one finger khaki head that quickly fades to a soapy ring around the edges of the glass. There are some very thin rings left behind on the sides of the glass after each sip. The flavor starts with heavy chocolate syrup and cocoa powder. There is some very faint dark fruit notes in the middle. The finish has some very light roasty notes. It’s medium bodied with light-moderate carbonation. Overall, it’s a solid dessert beer if you really like chocolate, but a full bottle is simply too much. Drinking this much chocolate syrup just wears on me too quickly. markoijelena (3200) - Belgrade / Amsterdam, SERBIA - OCT 7, 2014

500mL bottle BB 30APR14
Deep brown body, small beige head.
Aroma seems a bit artificial - chocolate topping, coffee liquor, sort of burnt malt character.
Medium body, restrained carbonation, drying sort of texture.
Continues with that sort of artificial compound chocolate character, not a lot else. Slighty sweet, low bitterness, chalky dry finish.
Not sure about this one. omikr0n (974) - Prague, CZECH REPUBLIC - SEP 29, 2014
Bottle from my girlfriend. Thanks! Pours dark brown with decent tan head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, roasted malt. Taste is sweet with chocolate, coffee, malt, candy. A bit too overwhelming for me to enjoy. I’d prefer if chocolate and coffee notes were tuned down a bit. ogivlado (8316) - Zagreb, CROATIA - SEP 28, 2014

[ As Batemans Mocha ].
Clear medium to dark brown amber color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, mocha, chocolate, sweet mocha. Flavour is moderate sweet with a long duration, mocha, sweet chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.
Bottle bought at Morrisons in Newport. Pours out in a deep dark brown / blackish colour with very low head and medium body. Aroma of grandmothers chocolate. Taste of light coffee, toffee, milk chocolate (the cheap stuff), barley and light, sweetened cappuccino, Sugary-creamy hints. Not bad but not my kind of beer in the end.
