BeerViking (5132) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 15, 2014
Bottle from the brewery, pours a deep red-brown with a thin beige head, pronounced choc notes on the nose plus touches of roast coffee, body is a nice balance of dark malt and choc fruitiness with hop and coffee bitterness. Hints of vanilla, plum, a little bread, a little citrus, and a faintly peppery edge.

jbruner (5463) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - APR 15, 2014
Beer sphere sampled at Classic City Brew Fest 2014. Pours a translucent brownish black with bubbly tan head. Aroma is chocolate and coffee, taste follows, clean and easy, could have used a little more mouth. Not sure it can be classified as a strong ale at this abv, but nice beer.

Coffee and creamy milk chocolate flavours with some hop balancing for the bite.

UPDATED: OCT 20, 2014 500ml bottle at home. Pours reddish tinged dark brown, short-lived beige head. Aromas are like a box of quality street, or perhaps a jar of nutella. Taste is like Japanese pocky (poky?) sticks. Too sweet for me.

Bottle (in Sept 2012) - Dark Brown in colour; Ruby Red against light. Aromas of coffee, milk chocolate and vanilla. Very malty; lots of coffee and milk chocolate, vanilla, toffee, roasted malts. Fruity; some fruitiness; chocolate raisins. Hoppy; slight spicy peppery hops. Sweet coffee and chocolate throughout leading to a dry slightly bitter finish. Unusual beer, but quite well executed. Very drinkable.

500ml bottle. Dark beer with light head. Malt and chocolate aromas. Sweet chocolate malt on the tongue with hints of coffee. Aftertaste of sweet coffee. Perfect accompaniment to crisps and nuts.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkles bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit geringer Schaukmkrone. Geruch nach Kaffee, Schokolade. Geschmack nach Schokolade, Kaffee, hopfig.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys. Deep amber colour, with almost no head. Aroma of coffee and chocolate The taste also has this but with a good hoppy balance. A very good beer.

Almost clear, deep red - amber beer. Tidy pale tan head. Palate is light and smooth and dry. Somewhat artificial tasting chocolate, like chocolate powder. Light fruity tang with a touch of red berries. Light dry finish. Inoffensive.

If hot chocolate, was re-incarnated as a beer, this would be it! Tastes awesome. With a lovely chocolatey aroma.
