Almost clear, deep red - amber beer. Tidy pale tan head. Palate is light and smooth and dry. Somewhat artificial tasting chocolate, like chocolate powder. Light fruity tang with a touch of red berries. Light dry finish. Inoffensive.
Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkles bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit geringer Schaukmkrone. Geruch nach Kaffee, Schokolade. Geschmack nach Schokolade, Kaffee, hopfig. Leighton (22306) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 29, 2012
Bottle at home with Lyoli. Pours clear, red-brown with a fine, tan foam head. Aroma holds tons of fragrant chocolate, some dark malts. Medium sweet flavor, lots of chocolate bar, plenty of vanilla, some brown bread. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish, more chocolate, mellow bitterness, mild filter coffee, some toasty bread. An alright beer. The character is dominated by a not altogether natural-tasting chocolate, but it’s decent stuff none the less. Rasmus40 (21988) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - AUG 21, 2014

Bottle on train poured into plastic glass - 30/09/12.
Dark mahogony brown with a decent coffee head.
Roast malts on the nose, cheap smelling milk chocolate like the eastern european stuff you had as a kid in the 80’s! Barley, trace of coffee and a little smoke.
Taste is a little pasticy, cheap chocolate once more, grain, minerals, not much coffee doing, faint hint.
Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, smooth finish with a little sourness. The 6% alcohol is well disguised.
Not great, seemingly done on the cheap, goes to show you how it really is worth paying big bucks for well done coffee/chocolate beers!
