3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Yeasty, with light fruit. Very thin in mouthfeel, but that's what would be expected of this style of English ale. Altogether, a tasty ale for the holiday season - no bells & whistles, just a good, round ale.

Bottle. Amber Brown. Roasty malts, caramel. Slight dark fruits. Spicy, rather peppery. Offset by hop bitterness. Sweet malty fruity spicy ale. Bitter malty finish. Rather artificial unbalanced taste. (2008)

Bottle. Clear ruby body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of wood and syrup. Flavour of toffee and spices. Thin body with a watery texture. Light fizz. Simple and a bit dull. SDalkoholic (2395) - Linda Vista, California, USA - OCT 10, 2016
Bottle from Whispering Liquor: Poured a glowing mahogany light brown color and created minimal formation of fizzy head. Aroma smells heavy with deep caramelized malt and smells of traditional English malting, however, it is clearly a couple of years old. Taste of the beer is flat yet has a bitter sweet syrupy chewy base of caramelized malts. AndySnow (7929) - Huddinge, SWEDEN - JAN 17, 2016

Where: SimCorp Pub, Copenhagen.
Appearance: Clear golden colour with a white head.
Aroma: Hops, malt, spices, fruit.
Body: Medium body and carbonation.
Flavour: Caramel, malt, grass, hops.
Roughly foam that will not last long. A somewhat thin aroma, which contains most of hops and a little flower. Tastes slightly acidic and also sweet malty body with little floral synthetic aftertaste where little hops is shown. The finish is not very long, and it is an ale which do not leave a big impression.

Copenhagen 3/5 2015. 50 cl bottle from Skjold Burne - from a box of Christmas leftovers. A slightly boozy Santa is looking bewildered at me from the label. Pours clear golden brown with off/white head which dissipates after half a minute. Aroma of fermented fruit and toffee. Soft carbonation. Taste is not as sweet as expected. Some caramel and spices balanced with dry bitterness. Ok Christmas experience but a bit flat - the good old English way. ianwelby (1456) - SCOTLAND - JAN 4, 2015
Clear copper-coloured beer with a good foamy head. Aroma is spicy caramel. Flavour is initially malt and caramel but there’s a nice citrus-y, fruity follow-up to that and even a tinge of hoppy bitterness as it settles on the tongue. It’s not really what I think of when I think of a Christmassy beer but, despite a slightly watery finish, it’s really rather drinkable. alexsdad06 (10586) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - JAN 2, 2015
Bottle from backlog notes. Pours a clear deep amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet caramel, lightly nutty, noticeable Maris Otter character, hints of fruit and a splash of general hop character, not much to get excited about. Globe, CPH - amber pour with thin white head. Sweet malty aroma and taste, some faint dark fruit, light spice, slightly watery, but overall pretty decent.
