Cask Pint at Wibbas Down (JDW), Wimbledon, London in Dec 2012 - Dark Brown/Reddish in colour. Malty; slightly roasty malts, caramel. Fruity; dark fruits, raisins. Quite spicy. Sweetish malty fruity throughout. Very drinkable. (2012-12-17)

Amber appearance. Nutty malty cherry aroma. Fruity taste. Fair strength. Nice bite on palate.

jjsint (3094) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - DEC 31, 2014
Cask at the Wellington Arms, Bedford. Ruby brown with a fair bit of head. Light woody/malty aroma with a trace of bubblegum. The taste is more lively, with sweet malt combining with the slight sourness of cherries to create a decent balance. Finish is dry without being bitter. Decent enough.

11th Jan 2014 and my pub crawl takes me to The Lion at Edgmond (Shropshire) and to my surprise an old friend is on the bar: good old Rosey Nosey. I’ve drank this in cask form at various pubs over the years but only rated the bottled version for some reason until now. My hand-pulled pint looked good, clear, dark brown with a ruby hue, slightly off-white head of semi-deep foam. Aroma is like a Christmas pudding, caramel and cinnamon notes giving it a fairly sweet smell. Taste wise it has a hop front with malted biscuits and dark winter fruits coming through the fairly start , this is a complicated, well made brew and one I like to try every year if possible.

wheresthepath (2333) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - DEC 19, 2013
Cask at the Rose & Crown, High Wycombe. Pours a red-brown with a small off-white head. Dry red wine dominates, with some caramel, sour cherry and dusty wardrobes coming through. I can’t believe it- it’s a Bateman’s beer that I actually like. I didn’t know they had it in them!
