Bottle. Poured a dark brown with an average frothy off-white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Aroma was full with tones of sweet malt. Flavor was heavy pruny sweet with a medium bittersweet finish. Good brew.

imdownthepub (13720) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 1, 2008
Bottled, pasteurised, 500ml, aged 2.5yrs. Chestnut with beige head. Big, full, malty bitter with a sweetish malt body, quite winey, full of fleshy fruit flavours. There is a warming alcohol note going on adding some depth to the beer along with a toffee caramel silkiness. It lacks bite on the finish, the aging has hidden any individual hop notes, but all in all a pretty decent beer.

Bottle, from Hviids Vin & Tobak, Aabenraa. Pours a nice clear amber with a thin film head. Weak hoppy aroma backed up by a bread-like maltyness. Flavour is very well-balanced between a caramel backbone and a good dose of English and American hops. Finishes slightly peppery bitter.

500ml bottle, thanks to Elisabeth for sharing. Clear, copper coloured body. One-finger thick, off-white head. Caramel malts in aroma added by dark leafy hops. Fine blended taste of resinous hops and caramel malts. Nice bitter endnotes. Medium bodied. Likable British bitter (Troms, 22.08.2011).

500 ml bottle. Finland. Red copper colour with almost no head. Aroma is thin. Sweet caramel. Flavour is also sweet caramel/toffee. Butter scotch aftertaste. Get a bit alcohol flavoured when warmer. Not bad but I dont know. Something is missing.

pivnizub (10312) - Bochum, Porř, GERMANY - OCT 14, 2010
Bottle: Clear, copper coloured, bigger, very stable off-white head; moderate to solid sweetish spicy-fruity nose (dried fruits with a touch of cinnamon); dryish moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, quite soft; lemony-orangey aromas in the bitter-sweet dark-malty finish. A goody.....
