Cask. Fruity (orange marmalade), malty (biscuity & light roast caramel) ale. Sweet-bitter. Nice balance with bitter hoppy edge. Dry bitter finish. (2008)

Draft - clear dark orange with small head. Little aroma, again little taste - very disappointed

Cask at the Bankers Draft (JDW), Bedford. Copper colour with a light drizzle of off-whitish head. The carbonation is strong with this one. Floral and toffee aroma, mild but pleasant enough. Sweet malty taste with a hit of caramel, but there’s some artificial-tasting astringency at the end of the sip. Toffee apple in the aftertaste. Nice full palate for a beer of this strength. Ok.

Cimbasso (891) - - NOV 19, 2015
Sampled on draught at the JD Wetherspoon's Mossy Well pub in Muswell Hill. A deep, clear copper colour with a quickly-fading white head. Malty aroma, and a very fruity taste of apples and plums. Hints of butterscotch and orange marmalade. Some hoppy bitterness, but very mild in flavour. Medium mouthfeel. A fruity and well-flavoured bitter.

Backlog rating. Cask at JDW CW, London. It pours a clear copper color with minimal tan head. Aroma is light toffee and citrus, light grains. Taste has some caramel, bread and grains, light bitterness in the finish. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Overall, decent

Jonb5 (550) - Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 9, 2015
Pint at the Spoons pub in Whitehall. A: Bronze, thin small head, hazy. S: Only a very faint aroma, but it was malty. T: Slightly watery, toffee, malt, cranberry, increased bitterness towards the end. M: Smooth, watery texture. O: Middle of the road, a bit too strong to session, not too much depth.

A bit disappointing if I'm honest. Standard aroma but rather bitter tasting and quite weird. Won't be having another one ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask at the Lord Rosebery, Scarborough. Pours clear gold with a thin white head. Aromas malt and butterscotch. Taste is malty, sweet finish. Nasty aftertaste.

Hippoman (646) - Durham, ENGLAND - JUN 16, 2015
Cask at Water House (JDW), Durham, £1.99/pint. Pours very dark amber/ruby with creamy off white head. Nose is weak but there’s a slightly damp, fruity aroma. Taste opens sharply bitter, giving way to slight sweetness with burnt caramel and biscuit notes. So so.

gowdy (1115) - Erskine, SCOTLAND - JUN 16, 2015
Cask pint at The Captain James Lang (JDW) in Dumbarton. A dark brown colour with a little amber. More head than average.
