A rich aroma of hops and malt develops a full texture in the mouth. It has a long, deep, bitter-sweet finish. Without doubt an exceptional best bitter.

Ingredients: Maris Otter pale malt. Challenger and East Kent Goldings hops.

chocolatepoppa (7) - Bath, Somerset, ENGLAND - JUL 20, 2017 does not count
Dark amber colouration with a small white head. Medium aroma consisting of malts, light hops and a slight hint of bitters. Smooth consistency, slightly foam heavy, taste is malty with subtle hints of floral sweetness. Overall, a very nice autumnal beer, best accompanied with a fishing trip and a nap

steveddy (12) - Chichester, West Sussex, ENGLAND - JUL 15, 2017
A traditional style bitter beefed up a bit. Deep rich amber colour, smells promising. Nice maltiness balanced with the hops and bite. Like this a lot.

mzaar (3460) - Varberg, SWEDEN - JUN 26, 2017
Flaska.

Light amber with off white head - Malt aroma with some hops that has a herbal hint - Malt body with some hops that has some herbal bitterness - The malt and herbal bitterness goes into the finish with some dry notes - This was nice

Smooth and interesting this one sweet malts combine with dark berries would make a great autumnal beer.

Vighals (3981) - Sørumsand, NORWAY - MAY 24, 2017
Amberfarget klar med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter honning, karamell og syltetøy. Fin fylde. Smaker sirup, honning, noe bitter brent karamell. Lett sødme. Kort.

ismelllikebread (12) - Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - MAY 23, 2017
Pours clear dark amber colour with a reasonable white head. Aromas of caramel, nuts and dough. Lovely medium bitter taste - more caramel. Not overly fizzy with a fairly long lasting finish. All in all an excellent bitter.

thepatrickman (1347) - Jevington, East Sussex, ENGLAND - MAY 18, 2017
Bottle with my father in law. A nice, simple, malt-forward bitter. It has a very traditional flavor, with some caramel sweetness and a light, earthy hop finish. Nothing too crazy, but it went well with food.

bartlebier (3982) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - MAY 1, 2017
500ml bbDec17, Waitrose Hull before debâcle. - "Our premium amber ale". Some soapy caramels and nettle in aroma, some alcohol too. Nascent crème caramel and herbal tee bitters, pear drops and pear syrup drowned in an inexpressive papery dryness with brown sugar contours. Unbalanced but drinkable with an original pear skin aftertaste.

ninecats (532) - Uddevalla, SWEDEN - APR 1, 2017
Bottle. Clear mahogany, mid beige head dissipates quickly leaving no lacings. Aroma is malty, overripped fruit, bread, brown sugar, slight floral notes. Taste is balanced, sweet malty bready notes, floral, bitter and dry finish. Good ESB.
