Cask at the Vine. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is roasted malt, light smoke, light cream. The flavour is moderate light liqourice malt with a light, smooth, woody hop, nutty sweet malt palate. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation. The best mild I ever had.

Pint at the Britannia, Upper Gornal. Light to mid-brown, translucent. Weak aroma of berry, malt, cola nut. Taste is lovely. Sugary sweet with a slight fruity bitter aftertaste... creamy mouthfeel. A very good traditional mild. Dont expect fireworks but its good all the same.
