This Seasonal Delicacy begins with Sweet Oklahoma Sugar Pumpkins. We have them grown especially for us, in a secret Pumpkin Patch just south of town. Native Pecans, Vanilla Beans, and our Special Spice Blend give this Beer a unique character all its own. We think this is what Pumpkin Pie wants to be when it grows up.

Strong spicey aroma eminating from the lacey head. Smells of ginger, clove, and alcohol. Pumpkin can also be detected, which makes sense. Has a cloudy, murky, hazy liquid appearance with a VERY frothy head that mimicks many pilsners and lagers. Heavy, superbly sweet taste!! Full bodied as I have ever seen a pumpkin ale. Texture is slick/thick with average to lively carbonation. Finish is long and pleasant, with a strong presence of alcohol in the nose. Overall, this is the best pumpkin ale Ive ever had. It would be hard to top this one! Deserving of a full five!!!

This was OK. The aroma was pumpkin and sweet malt. The appearance was unappealing. It was a murky copper color with a colony of debris. Particulates are fine but this looked to have its own ecosystem. The foamy head was out of control. In fact, I had to use two glasses to pour it before it finally seted down. The palate was thick and pleasant with a good weight. Flavors were pumpkin and spice with a heavy grain bill. Some alcoholic presence as well. Like I said, decent but a very chaotic brew.

12oz served in an Allagash cervoise A - GUSHER! Overflowed as soon as I opened it. (Served cold at 43 degrees) Quickly poured it and a massive 2 finger lightly tanned head formed. Below was a murky brown with chunks of sediment swirling around. S - Nutmeg, sweet grains, pumpkin puree, metal, nuts. T - Nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon, clove, bitter pecans, semi-sweet pumpkin, gingerbread malt, M - Moderate prickly carbonation, full bodied, semi-chewy but smooth. Well its another gusher from this brewery. This is one of the better beers Ive had from them. It has very good potential but needs some work. I will say that Ive had this at a festival and it was much better. Serving type: bottle 01-05-2013

From the 12oz poured into a tulip glass: hazy dark amber brown with about and inch of constantly sustained tan head. Its got a very nice pumpkin pie aroma; not overly spiced, but definitely vanilla, pumpkin, nutmeg and a little alcohol. The flavor is sweet, pumpkin and spice, a little vegetal, with a mild roast bitter finish. Full bodied with plenty of suspension. Its a great pumpkin brew and one of my faves from this producer. Well done.

UPDATED: JUN 3, 2012 Bottle. Pours a foamy hazy red-brown with a high, ecru head. Amazing nose -- cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg -- so often pumpkin beers dont take advantage of the nose. Very rich on the mouthfeel, and not at all sweet; definite clove and nutmeg notes, and a pleasing pumpkin vegetal element. Finishes long and almost, but not quite, acrid - and as it warmed, the nutmeg note became almost unpleasant. Still, quite nice. (And the fact that the dude on the label looks like Frylock should get some bonus points.)

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of lemons, wood, and brettanomyces. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, lemons, brettanomyces, and alcohol.

Sampled at GABF 2010. Im telling you, these guys that run this brewery are convincing. They told me to try their pumpkin beer. I was all, " but i dont really like pumpkin beers." But, the told me their pumpkin beer was awesome. Pours a hazy, dirty orange with off white head. Aroma of pumpkin spice, mild tartness. Flavor is strong pumpkin sweetness with mild spice. A touch of sourness in the finish. Overall, pretty solid pumpkin beer.

Crushed at GABF 10. Pretty good for a pumpkin beer. Nice spice and pumpkin presence in the aroma and the flavor. A little bit sour in the finish, but overall this nice.
