0,5l glass. Strong hoppy aroma, solid taste with very much bitterness in the end. Surprised to see it’s a pale lager! Kind no yeast at all, very clear taste. Carbs a medium. Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - AUG 30, 2012
bottle from Baltic Branch Dover. Clear golden colour with a creamy white head. Slightly sweet malt aroma and flavours dominate, grainy, very smooth, with very good aromatic and bitter hops. Bitter-sweet overall character, due to the velvety carbonation and the intensive flavours very moreish. Another delicious beer from Bauskas Alus!

0.5L, brown bottle, purchased in Sky Grocer (Ulmana Str.), Riga. Pours medium golden with a medium white head subsiding quickly. Scent is medium yeast and lager-like malts - mild. Taste is medium lager malt and light yeast, matching the scent directly. Finish is sharp, clean. Good, but nothing exciting. JohnRMurdoch (4830) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - JUN 28, 2010
Bottle from Beers of Europe. Unusual creamy aroma. Slightly hazy, rich golden colour. Strange flavour for a pale lager - butter and cloves, slightly sweet. Interesting, different and not bad. KnutAlbert (6754) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 1, 2008
Draught in Riga.
Malty, cereals, clean taste. Nice flowery hops give bitterness in the tail. Enjoyable, quaffable.

This had a strange taste making it hard to review.Pleasant golden appearane misleads you into thinking that you are getting a pleasant but ordinary lager. What you do get is a strange cardboard like lager with a lingering but not unpleasant afttertaste. Not sure at all about this one and not really happy about trying another bottle.

Standard lager look. Full taste with strong malt flavour. Good, I’d have another one. Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 18, 2011
On keg in Riga. Pours a blonde colour with a fair white head. Aroma is very bready with caramel and light grassy hops. Similar bready flavour with mild bitterness and grassy hops again. A little oily mouth-feel with mild carbonation and CO2 prickle. Caramel linger. Not too bad. DanielBrown (4500) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - NOV 10, 2013
Bottle from Super Zabka, Handsworth. This is surely a Helles; for it has all of the prevalent bready sweetness. Nice unfiltered flavour, doesn’t suffer from warmth. Quite drinkable. zenkis (834) - Ogre, LATVIA - SEP 27, 2012

I can not be objective about my favorite beer in my country. Casual, mostly bottled, but in few bars in Riga available on tap (to me more dense for this beer). Aroma and taste is not very intense but hoppy indeed, malt. It could be more to bitter style rather than pale lager - I am inclined to agree. Color is pleasant amber. Light body, compote texture, minimal dry finish.
Only criticism is that maybe it is too watery when bottled.
White head foam is ok lasting. In conclusion - cause my favorite is IPA, maybe this one most reminds me of ...Worth attention !!! :)
