2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle found in an Eastern European off licence in Nottingham. Pours deep ruby with a quickly fading tan head. Smells fruity and a little funky. This is a very sweet beer, quite syrupy and fruity. There are some malt notes too. Not great, but not terrible.

The head is ok, the body almost black. It smells a bit fruity, bitter, less hoppy. The taste is dry, hoppy, mild and a bit bitter. Ok .12/10/10/9/-/10 3.1

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
This beer was a strange experience. Hardly any hoppiness, sweet milky flavor, brown color. I don’t recommend this one.

Bottle from Beers of Europe, Kings Lynn. Copper brown colour with a small white head. Very sweet aroma of caramel and syrup. Heavy sweet taste. Oily texture. Syrupy sweet finish. Not nice, managed half of it but couldn’t take any more.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Dark brown/black, medium beige head. Sweet roasted malt and nut aroma, yet not anything spectacular. Medium sweet, with light bitterness. Medium body. Low carbonation. Long finish. Overall - pleasant and definitely a top tier experience from Bauskas Alus brewery.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very solid! Interesting beer; aroma is the same basic dark-malt and roast, but the taste is fairly light, with a less weighty palate and elements of apple to go with the usual chestnut and faint chocolate--better than the overpowering stickiness of other Baltic dark brews. True to style, even though it’s a rare style for the region

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500 ml bottle. Thanks Andris!
Pours a dark brown colour a white foamy head. Aroma of strong sweet raisins, nuts, corn and palm. Flavour is rather sweet with caramel, raisins, nuts and rather interesting strong spiciness. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a dry, nutty, slightly sweet finish. Surprisingly good.

0.5 L bottle kindly shared by larsga. A lightly tanned head, upon a hazy copper colored body. Nutty, spicy and caramel-scented nose. Quite sweet flavored. More nuts, some dark dried fruits, and hint of Christmassy spices. Body is light plus. Oily mouthfeel.
