Pyobon (1400) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - SEP 22, 2012
(can) This is a first for me - an alcohol free beer. Cloudy straw yellow with acceptable loose white head. Pleasant citrusy aroma, a bit perfumey. Light body carbonated more like a soft drink, but nice mouthfeel. Authentic citrusy flavour with hints of banana ester. Lacks any spicey notes or alcohol bite so is a little watery on the finish, but surprisingly on a little. Overall, by passable. Definitely a viable beer substitute if driving and a decent soft drink far more interesting than normal sugar water. Not sure whether it is really a beer though...

UPDATED: FEB 25, 2013 Bottle BBE 11/2013 Consumed 25/02/2013. Pours a hale opaque, bright yellow with a large white head that leaves lacing even though it doesn’t stay too long. Aroma is lots of lemon, light coriander as well as light grain and wheat. Actually like a proper wit. Taste unfortunately doesn’t follow the scent. As soon as it hits the mouth, the soda-like sweetness hits your tongue. Lot of lemon, like a dish-washing detergent. A lot like a lemon soda. Light coriander and banana flavors in there too. Apple and lemon in the aftertaste. Not too pleasant really which is too bad. Very light, watery and soda-like. A lot of carbonation.

Taster from a bottle 15/09/2012. Pours a hazy yellow with a quickly collapsing, white head. Aroma is wheat, lemon soda, light candy. Taste is much of the same, the lemon and soda coming through stronger on the finish and the short aftertaste. Palate is surprisingly not that watery. I could drink this. Bonus points for no alcohol.

Scoring based on the later bottle i.e. the first review.

Sample from a small bottle at El Pedal. Pours hazy pale yellow with a white head. Wheaty aroma with banana and a hint of spices and citrus. Surprisingly fresh and tasty for a non-alcoholic beer. Light body and a bit weak of course, but quite refreshing. (2012-08-17)

mikkellund42 (852) - DENMARK - JUL 29, 2012
Bottle. Pours unclear pale yellow/white (almost like egg white) with no head. Aroma is citrus, nutmeg and hints of malt. Taste is medium sweet and light sour. Body is watery with crisp carbonation. Finish is short and light chalky with notes of banana and eggnog. Not bad for a non-alcohol beer.

Bottle. Light golden, hazy, small and fully diminishing head. Light and lightly wheaty and caramel sweetish aroma, light citrus and faint spiciness (coriander). Body is light and lightly wheaty and caramel sweetish flavor, some lemonade-like citrus flavor. Finish is short, lightly wheaty and sweetish, caramel and some cardboard, faint lemonade-like citrus flavor. That’s it.

Ok, this is beer? I am drinking, ’a beer’, this is a ’beer’, Just getting my head around this one..... it’s 0 alcohol, but it tastes AMAZING, its fruity, its sweet, its beery, its mellow, its wheaty, its a belgian wit, but with NO alcohol. Non alcoholic lagers and bitters always fall down on taste, this one? £2 for 6? my night is sorted. This is actually the best beer i’ve tasted for a while, and when I say a while, I mean, A WHILE, (check the last time i rated a beer, 4 years? hello.). And if it’s not gonna give me a headache, nor make me smash any windows, at £2 for 6, £4 for 12, £8 for 24?? I think I just found my new evenings entertainment, for 1/4 the cost 4x the taste and 0 the alcohol. Absolutely delicious. ++to Bavaria, whoever you are.

Beerheart65 (1503) - Pori, FINLAND - JUN 24, 2012
UPDATED: JUL 2, 2012 Freash aroma with excotic fruits, at least mango. Some spices: coriander, vanilla, bit pepper. Hazy whiteyellow. Creamy white head. Taste has also apple and pineapple, plus mango and some spices. Mostly coriander but vanilla also. Light, fresh and strongly fruity palate is sweet with low carbonation. Overall fresh beer that quenches thirst nicely. best non-alcoholic I tasted so far.

Kita (2147) - Koper, SLOVENIA - JUN 11, 2012
Bottled, 0.33l. Hazy straw color, small creamy white head, fizzy carbonation and light traces of grainy residue. Aroma of hops, grains, grapefruit, lemon and acacia. Taste starts with sweet grainy malt, then followed by fruity, mainly citric taste, while finish is weak, short and not hoppy at all. Light body, thin texture and fizzy carbonation. Fairly good for zero alcohol beer...

stobbe74 (3789) - DENMARK - MAY 6, 2012
Pours a hazy and very pale yellow beer with a white head. The aroma is malt, wheat, yeast and bubblegum. The flavor follows the nose with additional sweetness. The palate is dry with sweetness. Overall this beer is below average.
