Hollandia is another lager that is brewed specifically for export. I brought it home from a holiday in Malta, and I really do not think it will surprise me positively. Foam is rough and very shortly. The aroma is most dominated by hops. The flavor is as I had predicted, not particularly surprising. It has a reasonable malt sweetness and a hoppy bitterness that is normal for a lager type. It can be drunk and enjoyed as an ordinary lager and do not require great attention for the consumer.

Non ho mai capito che c’entri un birrificio che si chiama Bavaria in Olanda, in ogni caso è stato preso il peggio dei due paesi per creare una birra commerciale discretamente insipida.

This is one of the worst beers I’ve ever tasted, do yourself a favour and don’t bother.

UPDATED: OCT 1, 2013 Golden colour similar to cider vinegar. Taste bordering on non-existant, closest similarity I can think of is tap water with a feint taste of lager in it. I’ve had cans of < 0.5% kids shandy that have more beer flavour in it than this stuff.

Hellgelbes Lager, fast ohne Schaum. Ein komische Aroma nach Gemüse (Porree, Kohl). Wässrig, pappig süß nach Popcorn, leicht blechern. Abwasser!

Bottle at Craig’s 16th Oct 2012
Light straw...thin white head..green bottle
Aroma - skunky, corn, light pale malts, very skunky
Taste - corn, pale cardboard malts, bland, dull
Palate - thin body. Finish - soft bitter metallic
Overall - Usual poor rubbishy lager

Bottle at Craig’s. Pale yellow with a white head. Typical lager aroma, cereal, bread. Similar taste, dull, something unpleasant in thwarted finish. Unclean finish. Pretty poor

50 cl can, Sheffield, UK via Bargain Booze. Within the context of a 50p can of 3% lager. Pale gold, faint sweet aroma, maybe some caramel. Very subdued flavour, though not offensive. I didn’t mind it, though could have been the olives stuffed with chillies that influenced that.

Countbeer (6591) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - DEC 1, 2010
Can: This is just another bad product! Same as other pilsners and pale lagers, but with the exception that this is actually bad! Not well balanced, which does not make you get another one for sure!
