@ Röhälla 20161230. Bottle (250 ml) from Systembolaget. [ as Bavaria Holland Premium Beer ]. Malty, grassy and sweet, grainy with straw, medium body with a watery to oily texture. The finish is dry, bitter, malty, sweet and grainy.

50 cl can bought from supermarket. Pours clear golden color with medium head. Aroma is malty & grassy. Taste is similar to aroma, malty, grassy, moderate bitter, with moderate after-finish. Watery texture, medium carbonation, overall not so good.

Bottle on train to Reading. Bought at Tesco, Aldershot. Minimal yeasty hay aroma. Amber. Bubbly. Creamy white head. Light bitter. Soft bodied, not OTT in terms of carbonation. Drinkable.

Quickly disspating huge white bubbly foam head over a completely transparent pale gold body that looks quit effervascent. A lot of malt character is present for a pilsener. Some cereal malt flavour and touch of mass produced euro-fare qualities. Some honey is there on the nose. A little heavy for the style, not as sessionable as I’d like it to be.

Pilsener gedronken bij de Enck in Oirschot. Goudgeel met een witte schuimkraag. Heerlijk!

UXO (1896) - CANADA - OCT 27, 2016
Appearance: clear pale gold with one fat finger of fluffy white head, short retention and moderate lacing. (3/5) Aroma: corn adjunct, grainy malt, grassy. (4/10) Taste: moderate-high sweet, mild bitter. (4/10) Medium-light watery body, moderate carbonation, sweetish short duration finish. (2/5) Pretty marginal. Didn’t bother to finish it. (8/20)

Bierdimpfe (640) - Quebec, CANADA - OCT 7, 2016
Bright straw color with lots of pearly activity. Slightly foamy white 1 finger head, lasting around 5 minutes, with some good leggings. Flavors of skunk, sweet malts, faint floral with nice herbal hops. The skunky feel is mostly when you smell, very subtle and delicate when tasting. Highly sugary and almost syrupy, but not adjunct like. Slick and smooth full body with the carbonation being too weak. Light finish, lingering sugary malts, noble spices, with notes of bread and skunk. Overall it’s okay. Lacks some sharpness for a pils with all that sugar. The freshness is passable. Although the taste is of good quality and well balanced.

W latach 80-tych to piwo było marzeniem. Po wypiciu mit pryskał, ale i tak było ok. Teraz pewnie byłbym zadowolony z wypicia. Jednak nie wyobrażam sobie sytuacji, w której po Bavarię sięgam.

Curse of the green bottle strikes again, this is pretty much what you would expect, being from the netherlands. Skunky aroma with some hints of honey, and grass. Taste is similar grassy, sweet malts. Mid yellow body, little carbonation, and a small head. Overall not very good and i wont try it again. Originally rated on 11/12/08.
