500ml bottle (Alko Arkadia, Helsinki)
Rich gold, nice persistent tight spongy-to-rocky head, looks good. But the bottle is a pale green, so an automatic -1 for not taking care against getting light-struck. Woh, as I pour theres a huge limey aroma, this reminds me so much of the Russian Efes, its almost an exact mimic. Corniness comes out a bit later too, and thats still from a distance, Ive not put my nose near it yet. Closer up, its a bit blander. Taste, again, reminds me of the russian Efes: blandish malts, cornyish if anything, metallic copper/bronze hops. Less limey though, and a bit heavier and fuller, that is sweeter, in the palate. Pretty bad pale coloured lager, but at least it has some character, and isnt a disaster. Finish sweet and corny and bronze again. Ergh, 70ml down, I wonder if I can make it through the whole 500ml...

50cl can @ home shared with Thompson. Clear golden color, full white head. Smell is just a bit malty. Taste malts, lightly some bitter. Low body, low carbo, lightly sticky texture.

Coming from the Southern part of the Netherlands Im obligated to say that I love this beer :) Honest rating: just another mass produced pilsener. Nothing wrong, nothing spectacular.

As Bavaria Holland Beer. Light grassy aroma. Gold color with decent white head. Starts with malt, thin to medium bodied, as carbonation leaves, the malt dominates, and then some hop arrives. However, the sweetness seems a bit much for the amount of hop. Drinkable, but there are many better pilseners. Chacon son gout.

Tin, 500ml from One Stop, Cheltenham. Pale yellow gold with fizzed head. This is the 5% version. Sweet vanilla malt, thin with a chemical, chalky type note. Little substance other than malty sweetness. Dodgy.
Earlier Rating: 12/25/2007 Total Score: 1.6
Bottled, 330ml, pasteurised. Tesco Premium Lager. Gold with white head. Thin malty lager, quite herd on the palate but then moving to a sugary sweetness. not good at all.

Can. Pale straw golden color with a frothy white head. Aroma of corn, graininess, dusty hints and faint grassy hints. Sweetish grainy flavor, a bit corny, with light maltiness and a finish with faint bitterness. Light-bodied. Not too offensive, but nothing good.
