Zarkam (538) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 2, 2014
500ml bottle from a supermarket in st. Petersburg, mady by Efes, Moscow 4,9% abv. Clear light gold colour, small mostly vanishing fizzy white head, no lacing. Light malty aroma of grain and bread, with a hint of grassy hops. Taste is initally slightly acidic and bittersweet, turning into a short bitter finish with an acetic feel. Light body, very dry mouthfeel, lively to harsh carbonation. Refreshing in a mineral waterlike way and far from interesting.

Can. Medium gold. Forward aroma boasts your typical lager profile of grain, hops and malt. Standard lager-like palate. Unfortunately, the flavour is not nearly as forward as the aroma, offering simple glimpses of cereal, hop bitterness and a touch of caramel. About as average as a lager gets.

0.5 bottle, small, fast fading, thinly head. Yellow unclear colour. No aroma, but pilsner taste not waterly and smooth not bitter aftertaste.

500ml can, 5% a/v Pours a light gold colour, with a soft white head. The nose consisting of very little. Perhaps grass and grain? The taste is refreshing. A poor mans heinekan as been said. Pretty lowbrow pils, but a good beer nonetheless.

O,25 fles uit Kroatie. goudgeel met lichte schuimkraag. ruikt naar citrus. Smaakt fris en waterig niks bijzonders. Typisch import biertje.

Imported in name only, a boring generic lager. Im afraid to try Hollandia, which is in the exact same shape bottle, down to the decorative low-relief molded flourish on the neck.

25cl bottle, as Babaria Premium Lager (5,0% ABV). Clear yellow, big white head, dissipates quick and leaves no lacings. Very faint aroma of grass, pilsner malt, metal. Taste about the same, with a very wattery feel. Slight crispiness. Light body, high carbo. Forgettable.

Pours a crystal clear golden color with a white head. Aroma is mostly typical malt. Tastes of citrus, hop. Typical lager style taste. Bland. But this style sucks anyway.

From a bottle. Surprisingly dark, somewhat like a Bohemian pils. Head fades fast though. Cardboardy and malty aroma. Bit watery, yet the malts feel somewhat heavy. Some hops, but none of these factors impress. Not even mediocre. Most better known mainstream lagers outpace this,

BeardedAvenger (496) - Addlestone, Surrey, ENGLAND - DEC 2, 2016
Bottle on train to Reading. Bought at Tesco, Aldershot. Minimal yeasty hay aroma. Amber. Bubbly. Creamy white head. Light bitter. Soft bodied, not OTT in terms of carbonation. Drinkable.
