I said a hip hop, the hippie, the hippie to the hip hip hop a you don’t stop the rock it to the bang, bang boogie say up jump the boogie to the rhythm of the boogie, the beat.’

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Albert Heijn Groningen. Hazy amber with a white head. Hoppy malty aroma. Nice bitterness in the taste with a chalky undertone. Not a great IPA but still a nice beer regardsless of style.

13-07-2017; bottle; at home (bought online at www.drankgigant.nl, Oost-Souburg, The Netherlands). The looks of the beer are nice . The colour of the beer is a nice reddish orange. The beer has a good cloudiness, giving it a lovely matt look. On top of the beer some lovely soft offwhite foam is formed. Foam retention isn’t great, but a nice lacing is left on the glass and after a while a thin greyish drape is left on the beer. The smell of the beer is quite nice. I smell some nice slightly bread-like aromas of malts, giving the beer some sweets. There are also some rather sweet fruity aromas. Besides this there are some nice zesty and spicy bitter hops. A touch of lemon and lemon zest is extra clear. Nice with the spicy hops and the malts. The taste of the beer is also nice. Nice sweet malt base, topped with lovely strong bitter hops, some zesty sours and a touch of creamy yeast. The hops also have a spicy character. I like that it isn’t as fruity as some IPA’s, but that it is more robust. Not bad. Balance of the beer is good. The palate is also nice. Medium body, quite smooth and medium carbonation. The finish has some nice full malts, with even a caramel touch to it. Lovely, especially with the fresh hops that are also there. I like this one.

Ipa de 5,7 % abv et 48 ebu, avec 2 malts et 4 houblons. Malts basis, cara.

Slow gushing to huge, stable, dense yellowish head over coldhazed orangeish golden beer. Sweetish, caramel, green leaves, bit of liquorice, hint @ lupuline. Bitter, resiny flavour on top of a dull malt base, partly coloured. Finish is again resing, but dull. Medium bodied, quite slick, spritzy carbonation. Rather average.

ALIBALI (2316) - Kiel, GERMANY - SEP 9, 2016

Ruikt mout, kruiden. Smaakt zoetig, mout, kruiden, beetje hop. Mwa.

UPDATED: AUG 7, 2016 Bottle from my Secret santa, many thanks! Pours hazy amber with white, lasting head. Aroma and taste of biscuits, citrus, bread and caramel. Light metallic finish. Decent IPA, but nothing that stands out.

Gusher. Hazy gold beer, big fluffy pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry, good fine carbonation. Overcarbonated, but then it is Dutch! Thin malts, trace of creamy sweetness. Whisper of smoke. Tangy orange, tangy orange peel. Mild bitterness in the light finish. It’s okay.
