20cl at ICBF. Appearance: dark reddish brown with medium white head. Aroma: leather, fingerpaint, smoke, ethylacetate and red fruits. Notes of dark fruits/fruitesters, licorice, caramel, leather, earthy yeast and paint thinner. Palate: medium bodied, oily to sticky texture and lively carbonation.

33cl bottle at CBF ’17 in Groningen. Pours a mahogany colour with a medium off white head. Aroma of leather, earth, smoked malt, paint, dark malt, old leather boot, paint thinner, wood, jodium, raisin, prunes, frying fat. Taste is medium sweet, low bitter with a strong boozy finish. Notes of leather, old barn, old leather boot, leather polish, oak, dark malt, jodium, peat, earth, candy sugar, ash. Texture is oily, full bodied with average carbonation. Big disappointment

Sample from a bottle at BFGM17. Appearane: A nice brownish mahagony body with a nice small offwhite head. That has a more then good retention for it’s size. Aroma: Smoked peat, a lot of dark fruit, and oak with some alcohol. Taste Sweet complex, smoke with dark fruit and woord, Really nice flow of peated wood going into a sort of cherry liquor but more oaky finish. Above average body, soft carbonation.
