LSAT Freedom Trip #188. 12 ounce can from Whole Foods Portland, ME. Hazy brown, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel, mild rye, oak and citrus. The taste is toasted malt, caramel, dark fruits, rye finish, a bit of oak. Medium bodied. dmac (6463) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - OCT 4, 2015
12oz can from a mixed 12pack from Xroads. Poured a hazy orangey deep amber with a foamy lasting light beige head. Aroma is odd, celery at first followed by spice, dough, chocolate malts, orange, rye. Flavor is still odd but better, toast, spice, rye, light pepper and a hint of orange peel. Nice mouthfeel, bigger, strong tight bubbly carbonation. johnnnniee (4408) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - SEP 22, 2015
Can from Bert’s
Fairly clear reddish amber color with a frothy off white head. Peppery spicy bready aromas with hints of brown sugar. Lots more malt in the flavor; big caramel and brown sugar with hints of chocolate. Peppery spicy pine cuts through the sweetness quite well. Lingering light ginger and drying wood tannin long after each sip. Its a bit different, and beats the hell out of any pumpkin based autumn ale. e303 (287) - - SEP 20, 2015
Overall not a bad beer. Mostly rye spice on the nose and taste with some piney hops as well. Very woody on the aftertaste. Not come thing I'd drink a ton of but decent enough.

Can from Meditrina. Clear amber with lasting head and lace. Mild herb and spice aroma. Toasted caramel malts with some ripe peachy fruit and spicy herbal complex finish. Medium body. Nice soft creamy texture. Much better than expected since I’m not a fan of spiced beers. Good.

Interesting beer. Not a big fan of ginger in beer buys soft and not overwhelming. Woody quality dominates aftertaste. Mep3222 (1641) - East Greenbush, New York, USA - OCT 11, 2014
Nice roasted malt aroma with some piney hops. Taste of roasted malt and a slight bitter finish. Roasted malt dominates, but bitter piney hop finish is also pretty strong. Not a bad beer. Has a very fall autumn feel to it. Maybe a bit of spice. Seeing it has rye malt the spice makes sense now. I do not get any of the other flavors listed on the can. Ginger, peppercorn, oak. Do not get those. Or minimal. This is an enjoyable beer.

Mild, fruity/spicy aroma. Flavor starts bready, with a little minty rye and ginger. Spicy hop finish. Different and pretty good. mabel (9787) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 14, 2014

Overheard: "I know the Von Trappe family... because... the hills are alive."
Can. Dark amber. Spiced citrus aroma. The taste adds toast, sweet malts, orange, black pepper notes, and a citrus resin on the finish. Pretty complex overall with a medium rich mouthfeel. Interesting.
