GBBF. Cask. Light haze on this gold beer. Light dry palate. A little pale malt. Mild citrus. Dry finish. A bit meh! And a bit dry!
Can at the cabin in NH. Pours crystal clear orange-gold, lightly effervescent, with a creamy white head. Simple dry bready malts in the aroma, some lightly ripened orange. Light sweet flavor with decent balance, more dry bread, faint pine, toasty pine, leaves, orange and other citrus. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Simple and pretty well balanced to finish, with lightly toasted bread, hints of grains and hay, orange rind. Basic, easy-drinking session beer - a camping beer, if you like. Not bad. harrisoni (19341) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 3, 2011
At Gbbf 2011. Pale gold slight haze lasting white head. Not huge aroma but tasty enough. Touch of peach in the flavour. But a drinkable pale ale. Decent enough good condition nice edge of lemon on finish brokensail (16648) - Dublin, California, USA - MAY 23, 2011
A: The beer pours a slightly hazed golden color with a finger of white head.
S: I can’t help but think of popcorn when I smell this beer, as it smells very much like it. Fairly heavy on the bread as well. Decent amounts of orange and orange zest to it as well. But overall, a light hop presence.
T: The flavor is pretty much the same story. Bread and popcorn dominate the flavor, but there is a pretty strong bitterness to it as well. Not a ton of hop flavor, but definitely some floral and grass notes to it.
M: Medium in body with a medium to high carbonation.
O: Not really my favorite beer. The popcorn character was just too much for me.
