Baxter Pamola XTRA Pale Ale has a very thick, frothy, off-white head, lots of thick lacing down the glass, a few streaming bubbles, and a hazy, orange-gold appearance, which becomes hazier when the bottom of the can is swished and poured in. The aroma is of grapefruit, sugary malts, and white bread. Taste is of grapefruit, sugar, malt, and bitterness. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Pamola XTRA finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, and lager like in it’s somewhat flinty ending. Overall, this is excellent, and I strongly suggest giving it a try. A cloudy golden brew. Sweet bready aroma. Flavor is of sweet golden malts with a good hoppy bitterness. Very drinkable. Very sessionable, indeed. BeerFanDan17 (1122) - Brunswick, Maine, USA - OCT 6, 2012
Sampled at the 2012 Portland Brew Festival. Deliciously hoppy and a really good hop-malt balance.

Pours a straw from a can. Good hoppy aroma, nice session able pale ale. Good beer. mkgrenwel (621) - North Shore, Massachusetts, USA - APR 16, 2012
Golden, pale orange pour. Thick creamy head. Aroma is light spicy hops with a creamy, fruity depth. Strong apricot. Promises to be very refreshing. Light apricot flavor hits the tongue first, with the signature earthy dryness that comes with the fruity sweetness. Nice thick creamy mouthfeel. Light enough to be a serious summer quaffer, but with a real nice creamy palate preventing it from getting watery. Fruit slips into light spice and bitterness. Very mild bitterness mostly disappears in the finish, but not in a phantom kind of way. It just washes out clean. Not wildly complex, but just right for the style. I really think this would make a better summer beer than most wheat ales. Reminds me a bit of Oberon in that it’s got body and flavor, but is totally clean and drinkable.

12oz can, thanks to parents. Canned 9/6/12. Nice lemon note to this, along with the satisfying fresh citrus hop flavor. Super smooth soft, lighter carbonation and dry texture, great mouthfeel. Great zestiness, light bitter. Thin white head leaves good lace. Mostly hazy flat yellow color. Definitely fresh-tasting. Drake (14058) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 20, 2015
