Bottle: Deep golden, hazy, stable off-white head, vinous-woody nose with a sweet fruity background; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, supported by a decent acidity, medium bodied; lingering sweet-sourish finish including vanilla, wine and a subtle alcohol-burn. Pretty good…
Draft at the Gnarly Barley. Pours almost clear gold with a fizzy white head. Tastes like lemon, lime, salty cracker malt, and yeast. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like lemon and salty cracker malt. Radek Kliber (7316) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - NOV 25, 2015
Where and how: on tap at Birch Luvystypotables (1917) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - AUG 22, 2015
Aroma: strong, bold barrel feel. Tequila heat, slight salt like hints, malty bready behind. Solid setup.
Top: mid sized, off-white creamy head that left rings on glass.
Base: very fine haze on amber
Palate : medium-full bodied, easy going , average-lighter carbonation. Long finish.
Taste: cask character is very well presented. Warming hear , very clean work. Malts support and balance this set up very well.
other notes cask treatment done masterfully. Congrats!
A delicious aroma of caramel, fruit and a hint of tequila. Pours a hazy amber color with a lasting white head and moderate carbonation. Taste of fruit and caramel with a hint of tequila. Medium body with a tequila finish. mike5326 (1741) - virginia beach, Virginia, USA - AUG 15, 2015
Poured from a tap. Clear golden color, medium white head. Sweet malt and alight tequila aroma. Full body with a minor tart tequila flavor and a nice finish.

Draft at Mekong. Pours golden with half an inch of white foam. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Fairly prominent tequila notes on the nose along with some wood from the barrel. Kinda sweet on the tongue along with some wood notes on the tongue. Finished clean. I can't say this is really a gose but it's still flavorful.

0.33 l draught @ Gastropub Tuulensuu, Tampere, Finland. Ruby-Brown colour no head at all. Well, this looks like brandy. Aroma is alcohol, i.e. brandy. Well, taste is also reminds me brandy. You can actually taste the grapes, which aren’t there, since this his aged in tequila barrell. Ha, ha the great mysteries of brewing. Oh, yes this, beer. And it is from Germany, not from Belgium! An unfortunate/expensive choice from Bittercreek (Draft from the ’15 FunkFest)... I knew better.. Why did I bite? Tickers gone tick. :-)
Fairly clear amber brew... Nose is agave and perfumy oak... Stewed fruit... Terrible. Flavor is the same but with an unexpected hot garbage wretch in the middle.. thick apricot and caramel malt with agave and bad tequila.. Thick with little carbonation triggers my gag reflex just thinking about it..
No redeeming qualities. radagast83 (8002) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - JUN 17, 2015
4 or 6 oz pour at B Side. Poured a very cloudy yellow color with a thick, creamy white head. Aroma was lots of tequila, light lime. Not a lot of salt here. Booze. I had a refreshing tequila barrel gose a week ago that was pretty amazing and this one wasn’t that. Whoever thought a 10.5% gose was a good idea is totally crazy. 2 year old bottle. Quickly fading head atop the murky dirty river amber pour. The aroma is without comparables in the world of beer. It is for one very complex and amazingly provides a handful of words which, after 10k beers tasted or so, I do not remember using before. Highly vegetal and spicy nature which brings about notes such as jalapenos, green peppers, celery, sage, oregano, green tea, white Pepper, banana, salt, earth... Phew and the mouth provides more of the same weirdness. The beginnings of oxidation are no hindrance at all in this green and gently liquorous flavor profile punctuated with soft wooden tannins. Fascinating and possibly an incredible partner for the likes of Cuban or Mexican food. But it’s made out of Germany of all culinary places.. what a world we live in. The 10.5% ABV is nowhere to be found, the slight heat which caresses the throat at the end of every sip is the only hint and does not suggest double digits. Moderate acidity, sweetness mostly limited to alcohol level in spite of a medium body. Not something I would want to drink anywhere close to regularly, but horizon expanding and therefore an absolute must try for anyone who reads RateBeer.
