75ml bottle. It pours a cidre-like unfiltered amber brown with a frothy off-white head. The smell is very nice. Woody with ample oak to it, vanilla, caramel, and a nice bit of herbal noble hops. The flavor is slightly tart with a nice sweetness and a lingering medium bitterness. Oak is prevalent as well as bread and caramel. It reminds me of a Uerige sticke that I had on draft once that was sligthly tart. hopdog (12510) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 7, 2012

In the glass, golden yellow, almost foaming. The smell is malty, slightly roasty, strong smell of herbs and pine aroma. Starts with a good malt body and lots of pine aroma, slightly sweet, very herb-like. Sweet-musty aftertaste, again with aromas of herbs and pine woods. In the further course it’s more hoppy, but this beer is dominated by herbs and pine flavors, paired with a slightly musty-sweet note.
Draft at Redlight Redlight. Pours a very lightly hazy, dark, rusty orange-amber color. Streams of fine bubbles pool into a small, smooth head of beige to light khaki foam. Settling quickly to a thin but lasting edge, the foam leaves round, organic spots and flares of lacing on the glass. The nose hints at sweet bread dough, reduced mixed raisins, caramelized sugars, and bread crust. Mild florals are all that show in terms of hops, as this brew largely smells sweet and sugary. Flavors show notes of marmalade glazed dark bread or cake, stewed raisins, caramel, and sweet, malty dough. The palate is smooth and lightly aerated, making for a medium-bodied and slightly whipped consistency. Overall, it’s a decent bock, but it is overly sweet for my liking and lacking in anything but saccharine fruits. Maverick34 (3238) - New York, USA - FEB 15, 2011
Draught from gingermanhattan. Pours a brownish tinged gold. Mild head. Some malt and fruits, clean finish. Not too heavy.
