Angrygerman himself said he would be impresed if i found Gose in the US of A. Well sir, how’d ya like me know. Pours slightly hazy straw yellow, thin white head with plenty of staying power from the large amount of carbonation. Corriander and salt wisp through the nostrils. I am quite surprised how salty this smells, like a well made philadelphia pretzel. Taste features more of the corriander wrap around a good wheat base. Light bodied, but not watery. Boom.
Sampled from tap at FdB Köln 2017. Hazy, straw yellow with a white head. Sweetish, slightly sourish, a bit fruity and slightly spicy aroma of lemon, rhubarb and some coriander. Sweetish, slightly sour, moderately fruity and slightly spicy taste of lemon, wheat, rhubarb and coriander, followed by a short, slightly tart, moderately minerally-salty and a bit spicy finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent and a bit astringent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice! anstei (2169) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - MAY 28, 2017

Interesting to have a true German gose. Very little sour or salt on the tongue. Very light salt on the tongue. Very refreshing. Taste has very light sour. Thin to no head. Light sweetness sweet then sour then salty and all is subtle. This is the gose I want to make at home.

Bottled, 330ml sought out by the irrepressible Beer Hunter that is harrisoni at The Lamb & Flag, Oxford along with Fin, Loz, jjsint and John. Hazed lemon gold with white head. This is a style that I have always struggled with, so I closed my eyes and hoped for the best on first sip and my word, this changes everything for me about Gose, hence the ’Saxony Dance’. Fresh, lemony, lightly herby with only the lightest sprinkling of salt for me. I’m going to throw in a zesty here. Lovely beer, my eyes have been opened.
