COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This original Leipzig beer specialty lends us the name for our brewery. Gose is a regional beer specialty that was brought to Saxony-Anhalt in the year 1738. Originally Gose comes from Goslar, a small town in Lower Saxony, and the river “Gose” in this town. This beer specialty has a refreshing, slightly sour taste and is ideal for quenching your thirst. Gose is brewed with the additional ingredients lactic acid, cilantro, and salt. Gose is a top-fermented beer with 4,5 Vol. % alcohol and 10,8 % wort. You can enjoy it in different variations.

   AROMA 4/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 4/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 11/20

I had a leinies right before this, and I didn’t realize that I had begun drinking something different. The aroma is a bit malty, but otherwise nothing doing. Pour is dark cloudy orange with a head that seems to have taken out a 30-day lease. Palate is bright, coppery (metallic), astringent, and crisp. Lactic acid is incredibly obvious, and not welcome. Finishes with a near-barley nose, but edges back toward a generic yeastiness. Not a major find for me.

From 12oz bottle to snifter. Pour is a cloudy yellow, thick billowy head. Nose is light fruit, coriander, fig. Taste is sour, light bodied. Finishes tart and juicy.

Pretty bad smell, sour like rotten apples or stuff. Looks like mornig urine but tastes okay. Fruity, sour apples, raisin.

Bottle. Hazy yellow color, small white head. Sour, doughy aroma. Dry, medium sour, slight salty taste. Malty, herbal aftertaste. Low carbonation, but not flat, medium texture. Nice sour beer, the slight amount of salt underlines the nice tartness, the cilantro combines great with the decent malty taste.

UPDATED: AUG 12, 2017 33cl bottle thanks to german santa ESSS17. Light golden hazy color with off-white head. Refreshing balanced gose, little bit stale but maybe an old bottling. Nice!

Farven er uklar lys gul og skumkronen er lille og hvid. Aromaen er yogurtagtig, koriander og citrus medens smagen er yogurt, malt og hvede. En rigtig god øl.

From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours medium transparency orange gold with evanescent foam. Aroma is orange peel and salty. Body is medium with intense carbonation. Taste is not void from sweetness, but also, obviously, enjoyably salty. Finish is short, but not super short.

Cloudy orange. Salty, light grain. Tart. Some light malted funk. Clean malt body, a bit of cherry. Longish finish. Bit of lingering funk. Good.
