From the bottle pours a clear amber with a soft white head. Light caramel flavor up front, faintly toasty character shows. Has a mild hop bit to the finish leaving it kinda dry. Much lighter on the palate with a light carbonation. jimhilt (2634) - Bow, New Hampshire, USA - OCT 1, 2006
Pours a two finger cream head that fades to a ring leaving a little lace. Nearly clear amber color. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Slight hoppy nose. Starts malty, becomes more balanced with slight hoppy finish. $1.19 for a 12oz bottle from John’s Market Tigard, Or. Best before July 2006 and still okay. 5000 (6900) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - JUL 10, 2006
Bottle: Amber hued caramel, mild sudsy off-white head, a few splotches of lacing, very light carbonation. Malty nose, semi-sweet, seems to be caramel malts and perhaps vienna. Lightly roasted malt on the tongue, slight breadiness, not as sweet as I thought it would be. Clean, very low hop bitterness, smooth, somewhat dry, with a pleasant sticky malt accentuated exit. Light, but still enjoyable. Body and mouthfeel are moderate. I only wished it would be a tad sweeter. Sham (1844) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 19, 2006
Amber-red with a small filmy head. Caramel aromas with rich malts and floral hops. Some bitter notes. Nicely malted flavors that are bitter and floral. Caramel and some roast. Cloying, though not too bad, bitter finish. BrewDad (5667) - Olympia, Washington, USA - MAY 9, 2006

A nice amber reddish color. A very light nose to this beer. The head was light also. The flavor was a light irish red type beer. This was a easy drinking beer. Nothing very special the hops where very light also. This was a commercial example of a lawnmower beer that was OK.
Draught at the Brewpub: Pellucid amber color, nose is vegetal with roast and medium crystal malts. The flavor is light in body, chewy. Decent flavor, a bit of an environmental distraction while I was rating this one. I got my numbers down before my notes so I don’t have any other details descriptors. oldrtybastrd (5228) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - MAR 14, 2006
Pours a dark brown with almost no head. Sweet malt aromas with a hint of hops. Sweet roast flavor with a little bitterness. harlequinn (2744) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - MAR 13, 2006
This one has a great fruity nose, with some toasted milquetoast bready notes. It is nicely roasty, sweet and toasty. Finish is very fresh and clean tasting, no bitter aftertaste. Really easy to drink. One of the better beers I have had from this brewery. montanabeerman (9) - Bozeman, Montana, USA - MAR 5, 2006 does not count
Bottle. Smalllish off-white head with a mild yeasty or doughy type aroma. Great full mouthfeel with a light caramel sweetness. This beer is considerably more bitter however than any other Bayern beer Ive ever tasted. Nice grapefruit or citrus notes, good finish. Perkeo (322) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 15, 2006
Bottled, feb. ’06 as a spring seasonal, or more precisely, a march 17th seasonal: Slightly roasty lager, slight cherry and apricot on the nose, whiffs of diacetyl, a little bit in flavor as well, nice bread/bisquit/roast balance, somewhere between a vienna and a munich dunkel, nice and "real" tasting as a fresh product but maybe not a big fave in the future...
