Bottle courtesy of Kyzr. Poured dark brown with a thin head. Aroma is malty with notes of bread, some roast and maybe a little yeast. Flavor is mostly sweet and malty with a lightly crisp finish and light roast. Kind of thin, but it is flavorful. dwyerpg (6187) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - SEP 16, 2016
Aroma and color is straight dunkel. A slight caramel sweetness as well that blurs the line. The finish is thinner like a marzen but it’s a strange mixed style beer. Skyview (6055) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - SEP 11, 2007
Picked up 12-oz bottle from Liquid Solutions. Pours a dark caramel cola brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind a fine film and thin ring. Aroma of caramel malt, some light flowery hops, a touch of toffee and raisins. Taste is medium bodied, lightly carbonated with flavors of caramel malt and some dry roasted nuts and citrus. Finish is slightly dry with a good hop bite and a faint caramel malt aftertaste. One of the more dry Oktoberfest brew than the sweeter styles I’ve tried. TimE (5817) - Tokyo, JAPAN - MAY 13, 2014
dark brown color. A touch sour. Ok, but not great, shows OK malt character, but very undistinguished. BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - SEP 18, 2003
No head, very dark ruby/mahogany color. Slight caramel nut aroma. Flavor has nuts, toffee, earth and butter detectable. Creamy with a nice hop finish. Slightly acidic finish with a watered down mouthfeel. Nice initially but finishes weak.

brown with a cream short lived head. nose is sweet malts, roast, graham cracker, and dough. easy on the palate, heavy roast at first, followed by rich malts, dough, and caramel. roasty finish as well. stevoj (5045) - Boise, Idaho, USA - NOV 17, 2014
Looks like a dunkel, tastes like a marzen. See through dark brown with initial foamy beige head. Sweet malt aroma with a hint of roast grains. More sweet malt taste, syrupy consistency, sweet finish. Lovely! oldrtybastrd (5002) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - DEC 22, 2005
Pours a nice deep dark amber color. Aromas of bread, caramel, and hops. Flavor has a nice big malty taste witha nice bitter hop finish. boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 6, 2008
Bottle... Poured deep ruby with a thin beige head. Aroma was robust with malted notes and rich figs and fruit. Really nice palate that has just the right amount of carbonation. I enjoyed the cocoa and buttery malt flavors while floral hops created a nice bittering balance. Finish was clean with a little brown sugar in the aftertaste. jake65 (3695) - Meridian, Idaho, USA - JAN 30, 2013
Bottle: Amber pour with a thin beige head. Not much to the aroma; a little sweet and malty. Florals show up a little bit in the taste, but caramel malt and an herbal note are the forefront. A little bready too. Overall refreshing and paried well with the general’s chicken.
