Draft at Oregon Brewers Festival, Portland, OR. Small white head that mostly diminished, virtually no lacing, minimal carbonation, transparent, and a yellow hue. Nose was malty, hoppy and grassy. Flavor was mildly malty, hoppy, crisp, and hints of citrus. Tingly mouthfeel and medium body. Quaffable and good given the style which I am not a big fan of. Worthy of a try. Bottle Pours a hazy light golden witha fizzy white head. Spotty lacing. Light pilsner malt aroma. Just enough citurs zing to compliment. Mild soft malts, a little metallic note and a quite lively palatte. Crisp quick finish. Not bad for a style I have trouble with. BDR (2534) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - AUG 18, 2007
As usual, this Montana beer finds its way into my glass courtesy of the most generous Skyview. A slightly hazy dark yellow beer with a solid grainy nose and a little bit of hops. The grain in the body tasted a little stale and the hops yeilded a somewhat metallic taste, but that was ever so faint. joebrew (608) - Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA - AUG 18, 2007
Thanks to Skyview for sharing. Pours a lightly cloudy straw yellow with a small quickely receding white head. Nice banana, as well as some sweet citrusy fruit, ans a slight flroal hoppiness. Kinda watery mouthfeel, but a nice floral hop bite. There is also a kinda funky stale bread flavor. Not terrible, but not too great. thedm (6183) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - AUG 6, 2007
This draft brew from the Oregon Brewers festival poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a slightly hazy yellow colored body and a good lacing. The aroma was hoppy malty and banana. The crisp mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt and mild hops. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

Draft at the Iron Horse in Missoula, MT. Clear light gold under a small white head. Nice Pils type aroma: grainy, biscuity, and floral. Body is medium, carbonation to match, and a clean, dry mouth feel. Well balanced between a thirst quenching, crisp bitterness and a light grainy sweetness. This was obviously fresh, and well crafted. Bayern Pilsener (unfiltered):beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - JUL 10, 2007
On draught at the Bayern brewery’s tap room in Missoula, Montana. Pours a slight hazy golden blonde brew with a which white head that has an excellent retention. Aroma of light golden grain malt, grassy hops, and a touch of fruity pears. Taste is smooth, light to medium bodied with a golden grain and light citrus flavor. Finish still has some carbonation texture with slight bitterness and a gritty grain aftertaste.
Very nice pils that just has a strong crisp and grassy finish that takes the edge off a hot day. Well built with a dry straw like maltiness, subtle, but enough to hold up to the nice finishing hops. bhensonb (15194) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 4, 2007
Aroma of grassy hop, slight malt. Clear light gold color, with a very slight white head. Starts sweet, develops a little body as the carbonation leaves, finishes rather balanced with the hop finally coming forth. Pretty good, though more bitter would fit the style. Draft at the brewery taproom; Poured in the traditional slow style (nice!), this has a classice German visual appeal -- golden grain, bubbly, with a nice bright poofy head. Sharp hoppy aroma. Silky smooth and sharply, almost puckeringly, bitter. Classic German pils, reminiscent of a good ol’ Bitburger stubie. (#2929, 5/19/2007)
