Draft pint at the brewery taproom. Very dark red with virtually no head. Nice round roasty flavors, though. Lightly cooked caramel, dark fruity, delicious dark lager. (#2928, 5/19/2007) reebtogi (6403) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 4, 2012
Pint on tap at the brewery listed at 7.6%ABV but the label here matches the beer I sampled. Anyways, pours black in color with some red highlights. Aroma is of chocolate and grassy hops. Taste is chocolate malty sweetness with some roasted grain bitterness. Medium bodied with light carbonation. A nicely done brew for the style and definitely recommended. riversideAK (6265) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - OCT 5, 2012

On draught at the Bayern brewery’s tap room in Missoula, Montana. Pours a clear cola cramel colored brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and spotty lacing. Aroma of roasted caramel malt, flowery hops and a touch of bitter apples. Taste is lightly carbonated, medium bodied with some flavors of tart fruit, dried dark pitted fruit and some citrus zest. Finish is slightly multi-grain gritty, dry with an average bitter aftertaste. BückDich (5477) - McCall, Idaho, USA - MAY 3, 2006
