Eructoblaster (4455) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 23, 2017
Bottle - 330ml. Brown cloudy body with a thin off-white foamy head. Good malty aroma with barley sugar hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Its robust malty taste carries barley sugar, hoppy, plummy, and woody notes. Ends with a moderately warming, bittersweet finish.

artemb (1292) - Chisinau, MOLDOVA - NOV 22, 2017
Clear, chestnut, no head. Big caramel, toffee and malty nose with some unrefined green pea notes. Sweet with light spicy notes. Plain and good.

Backlog rating from RBESG 2008, grand tasting: Cloudy orange, golden brown head. Berries and mildew. Flavor berrylike, orangezest Earthy, probably infected, definitely off. Medium body, mellow mouthfeel.

Flaska från Beeratenu, Jerusalem. En ganska degigt jästig dubbelbock, rå maltsötma, sötmurrig, småkakor och trä. Drickbar men knappt ok.

lidor1995 (153) - ISRAEL - APR 20, 2017

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy brown with tall, long lasting, fluffy beige head and nice lacing. Aroma is of caramel malt, dried plums and hint of coffee. Body is medium and slightly crisp. Taste is of caramel malt, dark fruit and some herbal hops. Finish is long, semi-dry. Very nice brew.

UPDATED: JAN 14, 2016 750ml bottle - shared by ElviraS - thanks Elvira and mum!
Deep red, briefish beige head, a little fizzy. Sweet caramel, some sweet nuts, and on a good drag even something quite heady in the aroma, but shy of solventy fortunately. Settles to being quite grainy and mashy. Sweet body, light prickle of carbonation. Tastes massively underfermented. Grainy, mashy, and sweet, no sign of alcohol. Finish so grainy. Really not sure this finished fermenting, it would be nice to know the OG and FG. A bit of a mess, but there’s something tempting about the massive bucketload of grains. What do the 100 and 65 on the label mean? I hope that’s not the Gravity!!!!?!??!?

rayaron (2073) - Kfar Saba, ISRAEL - APR 29, 2015
Bottle 330ml. Slightly hazy reddish with big beige head. Sweet aroma, notes of ripe fruits, prune, raisin and tart. Very sweet flavor, syrupy, fruity, notes of tart with some spiciness, light sourness in the finish, quite alcoholic. Soft carbonation, full-bodied.

It poured a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma was malty with some butterscotch and hints of chocolate. The taste was malty with butterscotch, chocolate and some earthiness.

Hmm well this was an interesting doppelbock. The aroma was ok, sweet malt with raisin and other fruity notes, really liked the dark ruby appearance and beige head and lacing. The flavor was good, not awesome, caramel, toffee, candied apples and plums, although the taste abruptly finishes rather quickly. the 8% alcohol was masked well, the body and mouthfeel was relatively light for the style. Bittersweet aftertaste is enjoyable. Seems like a dopplebock-lite, although the ABV is still solid. I would drink this again, but wouldn’t go out of my way. The only Israeli doppelbock I’ve encountered.
