0.5L bottle, smaal stable head, hazy deep golden colour. Strong aroma pf malt with some flowey hoppy notes.
Rich malty taste with some sweetness complented by a strong refreshing bitterness. The body is quite big for a pilesner and the beer seems more of a bohemian than a germal pilsener. kerenmk (5373) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - DEC 15, 2011
on tap, Golan Brewery, Kazrin. golden, foamy, hyperactive bubbles with a light body, that smells of lemon and malt. malt and delicate bitterness in the mouth, smooth finish with no apparent aftertaste. quite decent. drfabulous (9000) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - JUN 11, 2015

UPDATED: AUG 23, 2010 Re-rate 8/11/10: Bottle. Clear golden with a slowly-diminishing medium white head. Aroma of grains, hay, some bread and some noble hops. Flavor starts with sweetish bready malt, light graininess and finishes dry and crisp with bitter spicy, grassy, slightly herbal hops and light notes of citrus. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Quite a well-made Pilsener. 6/3/7/3/13=3.2

The following ratings are for the older version called "Beerat HaEmek":
Re-rate 9/28/08: Draught at the brewpub. Slightly hazy golden with a medium white head. Aroma has light yeasty notes, some butterscotch and faint hoppiness. Sweetish malty flavor with light diacetyl notes, a a mildly bitter finish with some hops. Medium-bodied. Slightly too buttery but still not bad. 6/3/6/3/13=3.1
Re-rate 11/5/07: Bottle. Slightly hazy golden color. Aroma of grassy hops, some malt, and a bit of fruits. Flavor starts with some malt sweetness and maybe a hint of caramel. Ends with a long, bitter, hoppy finish. Light to medium body. I’m very surprised, but this tastes better to me now, at home, from a bottle, than when I’ve had it on tap at the brewpub. It also seems more German Pilsener-ish now. Nicely done! 6/3/7/3/14=3.3
Draught sample at the the brewpub. Clear golden with a white head. Hoppy aroma, a bit grassy and with a bit of malt.
Malty sweetish flavor with a rather bitter hoppy finish. Body is a bit too light. OK but nothing more. Also, I’m not absolutely sure this should be categorized as a "Classic German Pilsener" since it has a bit too much malt character, but the brewer is German and the hops are German, so what the hell.
Bottle - Very generously provided by DSG, thanks!: Pours a light golden with a slight haze. The compact white head is dense and well retained. The aroma has some crisp apple-like fruity notes as well as a mild herbal hop touch. Fluffy light body with a crisp flavor. Very light and soft malt character with a crisp grassy bitterness to balance. A traditional and simple profile, but it’s very clean and tasty. Feels like some really soft/fresh water was used to make this stuff. Easy drinking. DrnkMcDermott (3193) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - FEB 27, 2011
Bottled. Thanks to Chicago Beer Society member Michael Rosenow for bringing this and some Taybeh over! Beer for peace! Pours a very light color in our skinny taster glasses. Some cloudiness. Smell and taste are just a little sweet and malty. Not much hops beyond a good balance to malt. I pick up a slight white grape or wine note, then a tinge pf sourness at the end. zvsn (2428) - ISRAEL - OCT 11, 2014
