Hammerhead IPA is very quaffable. This is a very hoppy beer and the addition of hops in the dry hopping stage is noticeable.

Yes this is getting one of the best ratings of beers i’ve had. The only thing lacking here, is that wonderful IPA smell. It is not for the IPA lover, but the IPA learner. Very mild, smooth, unique flavor. Not like any other IPA out there.. get it. Its more like a Tamed Hammerhead. Ctplt777 (533) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - JUN 25, 2015
This is a really good local ipa for me. Got this on draft and put in a grenade growler. Huge citrus and mango on the aroma. Really citrus forward. Taste is bitter with tons of grapefruit and pine. Dry finish that leaves you or at least me wanting more. I’m really digging this one, and I love getting to support local breweries especially when they make delicious ipa’s like this. 12oz bottle. Floral hop aroma. I almost taste a hint of cinnamon in this beer. Clarity is poor. TheBeerGod (6261) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - FEB 25, 2012
UPDATED: NOV 28, 2012 Bottle. Shimmering amber with a short, foamy white head. Strong citrus and pine in the aroma with soft malt and caramel. Taste up front is big citrus, grapefruit pulp, pine and floral hops followed with sweet malt, light caramel and soft spicy hops. Body is medium with a soft, creamy carbonation and slight oiliness. Ends with more pine resins and grapefruit juice with sweet malt, light caramel and spicy hops. Nice sessionable IPA!

Draft. Orange and caramel malt aroma. Golden yellow color with small head. Sweet orange caramel malt and moderately bitter orange peel hops flavor. Really like a malty IPA - probably in the minority. AGAquino (704) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 23, 2012
From notes at sours tasting. Slightly cloudy light amber with slight head and some lace. Nice piney resin aroma. Sweet flavour of orange zest bitter. SpringsLicker (3677) - Tennessee, USA - JUN 13, 2012
The pour is a hazy orange with a quickly falling white head.
The nose is citrus hops and fruity bubble gum.
The flavor is lightly bitter with a dry finish.

January 2011. I’ve sampled this one on tap at the brewery as well as from the bottle. Amber color with a nice white head. Nice hop balance, citrus and floral aromas. Dry finish that last for a bit. Not bad at all.
